Marcel....What did Marc say? I spoke with him after a show here and I'm curious to see if he said the samething.

Firstly just to clarify, Im too far away to meet Marc. You're lucky. :D

But Im just commenting on what was said when Dave got back with the band in the latter 90's.

One, Marc said in the old board "Jim fired me"-pertaining to the time before THTS. (the reason for that, you may know better I suppose)

Second, while JJ was going around with his band (as Survivor), Marc talked about the legal matters about Survivor's name usage. I can't give you the exact quote (wished I kept the screen cap), but Marc mentioned that JP suggested to give JJ the right to use the name. This was as Marc put it "the monkey wrench" that prolonged the legal wranglings..

I hope this answers your question. :)

Anyway, that was the past. What i think is more important is that the band keeps busy as possible. They just got back from the Dominican Republic. Set list is available at the official website.

Better yet here is the set list. Not sure of the order though.

Burning Bridges,
Burning Heart
Poor Mans son
High On You,
Summer Nights ,
I can't hold back
The Search Is Over
Broken Promises
Didn't know it was love
Somewhere In America
Rockin into the Night
Eye of the Tiger

A standing ovation on Burning Heart. Eye also went down really well. Overall a great show. 8)

Marc told me the same thing....to which Jim said he had nothing to do with it. Guess it's still up in the air as to what really happened.

If you're talking about the firing, I think its good there's no contradiction in what Marc said on the board and what he told you. Marc being consistent is an important factor, IMO because he even says it for anyone to see.

Any idea on the legal issues though? (not that it matters anymore).

Slander you truly are a dumbass. First of all, I never said that I read entertainment weekly or watch entertainment tonight. Although and I have and millions do. I simply said - and let me slow down so your slow ass can understand - there are outlets out there that make their sole living on that type of information. There is also Time Magainze, People, 20/20 and on and on...A public figure is just that, and they are held to different standards. It's the price they pay, and they do it willingly.

Now i know that none of these are held in near as high regard as your TV work, but i do think they are viable. If you are to continue to try and twist things I say to suit your pathetic needs, i will continue to make myself clear. You want to talk about things that suck? You my friend Slander - SUCK.

You say the same lame things over and over. Your arguments hold no water. You have 0 yes ZERO objectivity 0n anything. You are a simple minded hero worshiper, who has no credibility even on this board. I can't imagine the joke you must be professionally. You insisted in keeping on bringing my name into your silly agruments, so you took the gloves off. I've always tried to hold your arguments at a distance, because quite honestly they are the jokes of the board. But you want to call me out and distort what I say, well bring it on Frankie boy.

Thanks Eye. I appreciate the compliment coming from you. By bringing up bs rags like People and EW you definitely implied they were accurate sources of information when it comes to the lives of individuals. That's nonsense. You brought up People and EW-not me. As far as being a joke, I'm not the one who repeats himself constantly with the stupid Quiet Riot reference to Robin. My god how many times are you going to use that? It may have been funny about the first 10 times. Maybe. I liken Robin's sound to Great White myself. But you and Red have your mutual yuck it up society. It's pathetic watching you two. You think your Penn and Teller but your as juvenile as Zach and Cody! In closing I will continue to say I'm the objective one here. Your disproportional anger clouds your opinion of FS plain and simple. You, Red, Axe are incapable of reason because your emotions get the best of you.

You are truly a jokester.

Ironically Slander there is a Eye of the Tiger cover on itunes by Great White (no joking here). And yes, it sounds every bit as bad as when McAuley sings it.

Slander this post is directed to you and only you, please no one else respond to it.

I have a very serious question for you......If you saw that Survivor were playing near you....would you go? Hold on sparky before you answer!!! What if you found out that it was really Survivor featuring Jimi Jamison and the year was 1995 or 96?

Another lie.
You were going to see (Mc)Survivor. You posted as much in the days prior.
They cancelled and the venue had to produce Jamison as a replacement.
You bitched about Jamison's band the next day here (the threads still exist) all the while COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that the reason Jamison's band was there was due to the McSurvcancellation.

LOL, he HATED it.
Worst thing in the WORLD for him happened, Survivor who was scheduled cancelled and Jamison, of all acts, showed up.

Wow, that awesome Slander. The fact you would have went to see JJ's Survivor in '95, despite the fact that Frankie used to come on the board, tell us all have awful JJ was and how it was wrong and illeagal and such. And how the 'real' Survivor was moving forward. Of course that was before he revealed himself as the true LIAR that he is, fired Dave, and brought back the guy he had based for four years. Talk about a hipocrit. If you think i'm a hipocrit, perhaps you should worship at my alter as well, seems to work for you with FS. Or was the it 'special' hug?

I mean though, at least FS was standup about it...i mean it's not like Dave had to read about it here or something. Oh wait, yes he did.

And before you tell me Dave's a big boy and all Sander, I know that. And So is FS, whom you always feel the need to expand on a crusade for.

By the way, none of what i've said is opinion...it happend. I watched it.

Ok slander since you won't,can't or refuse to answer the questions I'll do it for you. As you indicated in another post.....you were pissed that Jimi substituted for survivor at that show and said they sucked or it sucked or whatever.

So tell me, without the "gossip", "voyuerism" or whatever you want to call it.....How would you have known that back in the mid 1990's Jimi was touring as survivor and that there was a lawsuit to stop it? You would've been all over that like white on rice, well maybe not because you don't believe in voyerism or whatever, you just would've gone and sucked it up without a peep about being misled. Like hell you would've,you'd been screaming and crying about fraud and all that other stuff.

These boards are a good place for info and to stay in touch with like minded fans. If we don't tell what we know or think, the boards wouldn't exsist anymore.

These boards are great for staying in touch and meeting like minded fans. Yes you've met your share of Frankie bahsers! Congrats. It's like your little seat at the Bar of CHEERS. Who are you Cliffy? Red is Norm? Eye is Carla? It's too bad your little trio spends less time talking music and more time complaining about Frankie Sullivan. Speaking candidly, there would not be a message board without Mr. Sullivan or for that matter Mr. Peterik.

Hey RED....I can recall going to the local CD store to by the JJ first solo record that you are talking about and the guy telling me it sucked. He was a Dave fan though, which I didn't care, just the fact he had heard of Survivor. I guess that record is not very good.

HOWEVER, I thought Empires (which Frankie brainwahsed us all against and it took me almost 10 years to get it) was far surperior to Reach in just about everyway. Also Cheryl was kind enough to send me some pretty darn good demo stuff by JJ as well, so there is plenty in the vault there.

My guess is the first solo album was rushed. I'm really looking forward to his new album with JP and Dave...i mean WOW.

I just got "When Love Comes Down" not too long ago. I was going to ask the board what they thought of it since I had not seen anything about it on here. In fact, I was shocked when I found it because I had never heard ANYTHING about it. Now I know why...no one liked it. I have already forgotton my initial reaction to the CD so I think that sums it up pretty well: forgettable. But I do know there were a few things I did like. Guess I will have to break it out again and then post my "review" of it. If I ever have the time...
