You make like it is a sin to insult or say anything about Frankie (full of shit) Sullivan and McMetal Voice, but yet you turn every conversation into a bash JJ session. You've even taken to taking issue with JP or anyone who favors him, in order to attempt to lift up your inflated opinion of FS. If somone wants a discusion on how they don't like the new lineup, you basially tell them they are uninformed. All the while you lace it with passive aggressive insults and disingenioius compliments (ie. I think JJ's a great singer for a bar tender) and even the standby mock line 'Frankie should really do a better job of sharing his greatness with everyone. "See, I criticize the man."....

And the worst thing you do is tell us that we are not fans of Survivor, if we dont' care for the new lineup, or if we prefer JJ and JP at this point. And yes, i can make very good points as to why they have as much right to it as FS, but it's not as if you listen anyways.

I'm sorry you feel that way Eye. I really am. I take issue with FS on some things but you guys never acknowledge that. As far as JJ. God good enough already. I own his stuff and I think he's a good vocalist. Vistal Signs is a masterpiece. What more do you want me to say about him? I will by the solo effort with he and JP. As far as Peterik once again he's a great songwriter. I love Sunstorm with JLT that most of you probably didn't buy. These are things I have said on many posts that go unacknowledged. I will and always will try to remain objective. I understand yourself and axe have personal feelings in regards to Sullivan. I get it.

And this folks is exactly what we are all talking about, who is slander to decide what opinion is wrong or misguided.
When did they hold auditions for God and why weren't the rest of us informed?

Thank-You to slander for finally showing who he really is!!!!!!! An egotistical nobody, who thinks he's in charge.....funny I don't see moderator or administrator next to his name. Bet Andrew will be shocked also.

Now Slander that was a good response...one i like and take no issue with....good points...Now let's move on...

You guys every thought that Journey's "Feeling That Way" and "Summer Nights" are really cut from the same mold?

THey have the same feel and even similiar subject line...Imagine a duet with Survivor (from that time era) and Journey (same era) on "Feeling That Way"...

Just something that hit me listening to both songs on the way to work today....

Guy when I'm wrong, I'm wrong and will admit it. The same can't be said for others.

Sorry I'm far from perfect. Hardly think I'm a charge of the board.

I would not be surprised if Slander's quest for balance has scared away a few fans...

Gee I'm sorry. It's a discussion. Sorry I won't march lock step with everyone's opinions.

Love the way you ignore my point that all are welcome here ...even you. (But then you've ignored several of my responses to you lately). But it is not about your opinion, all of those are welcome here as well (well, unless you are RED not liking Ribin's version of a song  ), what drive's me batty is the WAY you post. I am not good at describing it, but something about it is thoroughly irritating. I have spent more time on this board criticizing the WAY YOU post than I ever have criticizing OR praising Survivor. That is sad...

Just look at your response to my post. I never once implied that you need to 'conform' to any opinion. But your response is sarcastic as hell and attempts to paint my words with a whole 'nuther brush. You don't think lurkers see that? You don't thinnk lurkers see the way you, Red, Axe, Eye and now myself, always seem to lock horns? BTW, how is that balance going? So far it looks like four to one...but not about the band, just about the personalities posting.

You seem to enjoy trying to beat those opinions down until you can form them into your own.

They don't need to be acknowledged because you say them in almost every damn post...

And sorry, but you have not been objective about FS as far as I can tell. I don't about what a lot of you talk about. But I have seen MANY things you choose not to "acknowledge" or give creedance to.

Now what we don't need is some conspiracy theories!

Seriously though, I never actually thought of the similarlies but I suppose both bands do have similar sounds and tones/styles might clash a bit here and there. Although "Feeling" has two leads. Then again, in Summer Nights, Frankie blends in with Dave's vocals on the 2nd verse if I remember correctly.

"Girl it always seems about september that’s the time, again I remember the lights"

"Opened my eyes to a new kind of way, soft and warm on a summers day"

Wait... I think you have a very good point! 8)
