Do you think FS will be using the music from Reach in the movie with Jimi's voice or with the new lead singer ? And if he does use Jimi's LETS HOPE JIMI GETS COMPENSATED FOR IT !

Lakrits, some people may not be able to view it. I think it depends on their computer. I know I couldn't at home, just at work. Cool video. I would be neat if they use it for the movie.

It's a fan thing. I'd still love to believe FMS or Reach will make the soundtrack but unless Jamo comes back soon (ain't happening) I doubt it now.

Stallone should use it anyway, what's the harm. They were so close to being on the soundtrack and found a way to screw it up.

It's possible they could rerecord it and use it. I'd like to see Dave come back, see the line up on the left, that would be my dream! But that ain't happening either. I do like Robin's vocals. I would like to hear his version.

That could get it done. They should re-record Reach and FMS or at least have McCauley overdub his vox and give them to Stallone and the production company. Hell how hard can the vocal overdub be? This is a great idea of of RebelGirl.

So even though at the end of the clip it says From Survivor's new album Reach and the fact that the movie is coming out in Dec. 2006, this isn't real its fan produced ?

IMO I don't think there should be any overdubbing Jimi sounds awesome and let people go out and buy the CD Reach with his voice on it not just a movie soundtrack with an overdub.

Andrew, did you get to speak to FS ?

I'd like to see the JJ Reach one appear, too but if I'm the studio I might have the willies about using a song from a band who now has a new singer....just wierd. I mean if it's between getting left out and overdubbing the voc w/ McCauley to get on I'll roll w/ the latter.

But don't you think that it would be horrible that a person would have to buy the movie soundtrack only not the bands CD to get that particular song with the new singer ?

Nahh. Per what JJ said Reach is not going to see the light of day stateside anyway. Still think they should push to get the title track or FMS onto the sdtk (if it's not official already) and rerecord/overdub if necessary.

And Jamo has to know that....maybe he's talking about songs he cowrote...b/c the titles weren't specified. But then, why didn't it say "cowrote?" or "sang on and cowrote?"

Of course JJ knows that, read my other post. His statement came AFTER the official press release from Survivor. His camp is covering their a** and trying to look like JJ broke up with Frankie rather than the other way around.

Two great guys but sometimes is sucks to be the singer with voice problems.

If you've seen the original Rocky Balboa movie trailer you will notice that FMS or Reach music is nowhere to be found. Doesn't mean anything, but I was disappointed.

Yea I know...but I assume the soundtrack songs aren't finalized yet. Hell, they used nothing but the old scores, too and I'm sure Conti is working on new score music as well.

There's still time to fix this and get them on the soundtrack. This is where Buruck/Azoff should step up to bat for their 2 bands who are in the running for this, Journey and Survivor.

RG I am aware he won't get credit for what he didn't write just like he didn't get credit for the songs he DID WRITE on To Hot To Sleep. He did co-write Reach which is an excellent song.

Sheryl, what do you mean????? He got credit as a co-writer on Reach not to mention all the praise from FS. If the song is a hit, then he'd get a check.

I don't want to go into any detail, but I have always heard from someone who would know, that Jimi co-wrote Burning Heart with Peterik and Sullivan but has never been credited or paid as a co-writer.
