Mecca Anyone?

Loved Mecca's first album, and cannot wait for this next one! Will there be any Survivor members left to do Mecca?

Can someone please give me some background on Mecca?

What Survivor members were involved with it?

Is that the album that had a song that had originally been writen for a Survivor album?

Were any other big name AOR guys involved with that album?

Well, it doesn't get better than Jim Peterik. Unfortunately there was a disastrous falling out it seems, with JP.

I was actually in their forum for a while (even bought the cd). Then it got ugly. Not by the posters but the band itself. Don't quote me but JP was not given his dues even though he co-wrote 10 of the songs;something like that. Mudslinging galore, it was! then the webmaster was not paid, etc etc. Just when people thought the band was infallible, it just got murkier. Some how, some way they're back, naturally JP-less.

Well with people like Lukather on board, they were bound to make it I suppose.

That said, now no connection to Survivor. This thread belongs elsewhere I guess.

Probably in the Toto forum now since Bobby Kimball is in the band.
