Survivor Covers

Postby jaxmanjoe » Tue Oct 24, 2006 10:44 am

Does anyone know of any other acts that have recorded Survivor songs?

The only two I know of are:

Tommy Shaw - Ever Since the World Began
Colin Raye - The Search is Over (country cover!)

I hope there's more out there.

Thanks,

Joe

the Outlaws did Rebel Girl. I only have it on tape or I would upload it. Wow, I didn't know Colin Raye did search, I'd love to hear it.

Here's a link to Amazon's page for his album. There's a sample for the track on this page.

Jamo solo covered one of the Bickler era ballads for the Lock Up sdtk.....Might've been Ever Since The World.
"I love almost everybody."---Rocky Balboa 1990
"Let's reform this thing.Let's go out and get some guys who want to work and go do it"--Neal Schon February, 2001

Yes, it's "Ever since the world began" at the end of the Lock up movie. It's very near to the original and Jimi sounds good!

Whoa. I've always liked Colin Raye...but he's sure no Jimi as far as TSIO is concerned. Colin's missing the heart needed to sing that one.

Gotta agree with you. He also covered Journey's Open Arms on his greatest hits album a few years back. That was also missing the heart Steve put into that song.

It's weird. He's got some real emotional country songs but it's missing when he covers rock ballads.
