But as I was sharing with Red yesterday, here is the top 10 I'd love to know...and I'd welcome any and all insight and even opinions...

1. Why Frankie got back with JJ in 2000? and Visa Versa?
2. Why did Dave leave the band in the first place. I know they say health stuff, but I can remember older interviews with Frankie complaining about Dave being to shy as a front man, and it always seemed a little shady to me...
3. What really happened with Frankie and JP.
4. What transpired to make JJ think he could use the name and from what I read, something did happen to make him feel he had a claim to it... and I've even heard reference to that in some ways by FS....
5. Why did Marc and Stephen disappear for THTS. Why did they come back and why did Stephen leave again.
6. Does JP really think he can sing well.
7. Does Frankie?
8. Why did FMS never get released? I mean how as JJ able to get Empires released and FS not FMS?
9. Why did JJ leave the second time.
10. What happened to Dunaway...

ROFL! All great questions.

As for all the moving around of band members, my best guess is they are a bunch of drama queens as rock stars are apt to be. Break up, get back together, break up, get back together. I thought it was fishy, too, the whole DB, JJ, DB, JJ, RM switcheroo. Plus the THTS business with Marc and Stephan being gone.

Who knows.

Dunaway (who is a great guy) QUIT after being jerked around by FS during the JJ saga. He quit for the same reasons as JJ (financial). FS controls the pocketbook. FS chose to speak unfavorably about Dunaway in an interview he gave after JJ quit, which shows FS true character. He continues to travel with Voices of Classic Rock and RPM. He also is a member of Those Guys, a popular Florida based group. www.thoseguys.com

No one here knows Frankie Sullivan's true character. You don't know what happened, so why speculate on it? Frankie, JP, and Jamo have all showed questionable judgement at times in what they have said to the media. By the way, as a guy in the media for 16 years I know how easy it can be for people to be misquoted. There is also a big difference between hearing a soundbyte and seeing something in print. Print leaves a lot to interpretation. I'm just trying to be fair here.

I have to call you on this one Slander. At the time, I was very close to the situation. However, you are right, I don't know FS true character, I don't know what is deep down inside or how he sleeps at night, only FS knows that. I have said before, I am a fan of the music not the man.

I appreciate your thoughts lark. I really do. It's great if you have close insight. Frankie is a different cat. Hard to read. Very introspective. He holds his cards close the vest. There are a lot of shades of gray that could get misinterpreted. I don't think he is DARTH VADER. Each and every member of Survivor needs to own up to their lost opportunity in the 80's. They have a killer song catalog and they should have been bigger. We don't need to call each other out. When we use language like that, me included, it evokes emotions in the discussion that are not needed. I prefer civil conversation. I just am trying to represent a different side to the story.

Opinions? Here they come.... with a touch of reality

1. Why Frankie got back with JJ in 2000? and Visa Versa? - Financial. While record companies could not accept DB as a front man (for this FS seemed to hint it, hence my assumption)

2. Why did Dave leave the band in the first place. I know they say health stuff, but I can remember older interviews with Frankie complaining about Dave being to shy as a front man, and it always seemed a little shady to me...

It was his voice problems. No official quote of the band members said otherwise...as far as I know.

3. What really happened with Frankie and JP. - It was a matter of time when it was realized someone wanted to try diff. pastures. Besides losing Marc D. eventually, made things worse (opinion).

4. What transpired to make JJ think he could use the name and from what I read, something did happen to make him feel he had a claim to it... and I've even heard reference to that in some ways by FS.... - JP wanted to hand over the reigns to JJ. FS disputed that. Marc infact mentioned that JP wanted this and it was the proverbial "monkey wrench" that made the situation worse- ie made JJ's case stronger

5. Why did Marc and Stephen disappear for THTS. Why did they come back and why did Stephen leave again. - After JP left, FS called Marc.... What are best friends for?

6. Does JP really think he can sing well. - He believes he ROCKS better on the guitar than on the keys. Not sure what he thinks of his voice;not as good as Toby's thats for sure - See JP's latest interview.

7. Does Frankie? - Not sure. But I think FS would even do lead if no Lead singer stepped up.

8. Why did FMS never get released? I mean how as JJ able to get Empires released and FS not FMS? Perhaps because JP was big part of it and just wasn't the right time. Also record executives probably wanted JJ do it (opinion)

9. Why did JJ leave the second time. - Already has been said.

10. What happened to Dunaway... - After his movie career.. wait..that was Faye Dunaway. Sorry. Again already clarified here
