This would ROCK!

Plus, the bands could switch singers for a few songs and who would even know...

Except DeBrow looks SCARY!

Actually I went and saw Quite Riot in '01. It was the same exact band that did the Metal Health and Condition Critical albums and they flat out rocked...

On another note, QR switched lead singers in the late 80's for QR 4 and it might have been the worst singer and one of the worst albums I've ever heard...

Eye, are you local to Mexico?

Also, we may now be able to prove Dubrow is not McCauley if they show up at the same concert bill (unless Survivor cancels again and "Survivor" has to replace them :P )

Finally, will someone take a shot at that...that.....THING on Dubrow's head?

I actually like Quiet Riot (self-titled) w/ Paul Shortino on vox.

Yep.

Then he went bald, then er I guess he "grew (wink)" the black curly hair back, but that hair on the sleeve of the new cd looks like something he borrowed from similarly follically challenged metal frontman brett michaels.

Paul Shortino on Vox? Uh, I missed something.

But comparing McAuley and Dubrow (only the optical side) I have to say our guy looks better

The comparison is unfortunate. Robin can sing many styles and Dubrow can't. Why must we continue to belittle MCauley's talents. I just don't get it.

Dude, I'm not belittling Mc with the Dubrow comparison...I LIKE QR and Mccauley sounds like dubrow.

Dubrow should be so lucky. Robin has a bit more Soul and quite a bit more talent. Robin is able to sing many styles. I for one can't imagine Dubrow singing FMS or EOTG. Having said that my favorite QR song is WILD AND THE YOUNG. Dubrow has some ability but that's like comparing Tony Hunt to Ki-Jana Carter. Tony is a nice player but he's no Ki-Jana Carter.

Yea, McCauley's less "metal" and prolly more versatile than dubrow.

KiJana was more explosive than Hunt but Hunt is just relentlessly physical and grinding (as college backs, of course).

Why belittle DuBrow?

I bet Metal Health sold more copies than McAuley's entire career multiplied by 20....

As for you can't imagine DuBrow singing FMS or EOTT...I can't really see McAuley singing them either...or at least not all that well...if DuBrow sung them, I think that's about what it would sound like...

Witih that, I love Quite Riot...so stop taking everything as an insult...

In fact, QR sold a lot more than Survivor as well...

Eye. Selling records isn't just about talent. You know that so don't play dumb. My god Milli fucking Vanilli had a top selling record! How am I belittling QR. If you read my post I like some of their music. When I was on radio in the 80's I played the hell out their stuff including QR3. I'm sorry you read just want you want to read. I've experienced quite a bit of that on the board. I find it hysterical.

He might've just been saying you belittled dubrow/QR no more than we belittled mccauley by comparing him to dubrow.

Dude Mcauley has a better voice than Dubrow. Are you guys deaf? This has nothing to do with the amount of records sold etc.

Wish I were related to two of the most talented people in rock n' roll history. Sorry you have such a chip on your shoulder because your abilities don't measure up to their superior talents.

WTF? Robin McAuley is one of the "most talented people in rock 'n roll history? Come again? He wasn't even the most talented member of MSG. I'm just having fun with all of this. I'm gonna buy the damned new record when it comes out in 2016, just in time for my mid-life crisis. You're damned right my abilities don't measure up to Frankie's, as he is one of the best axemen in the world and a damned good songwriter, too. However, I can handle Survivor material vocally. In fact, I'm a better singer than he is. There, I said it. I'm 15 years younger and never caught a break with my singing career. You yourself have droned on and on about how recognition does not equate with talent.

Not really. 7 is using old material. I thought you guys hated old material. 7 likens himself to some sophisticated comedian. Too bad his stylings rival that of Sinbad.

Robin is very talented and diverse. You folks can belittle him all you want but he can do it all. And he can do it all very well. I for one am looking forward to the new disc. I think you will be second quessing your opinios. By the way there is no shame in being second fiddle to Michael Schenker. Is that suppposed to be an insult somehow? They were a very dynamic duo. Frankie and Robin are a force to be reckoned with.
