WTF is going on with the band?

Anyone have any insider info? Are they still together? This board is getting lame. We need a good rhubarb. Something controversial. Such as, "Stephan Ellis is a liberal wacko". Or something to that effect.

7 I'm glad you're back on the board. I hope everything is great. Everything I hear is that FS is still working on the Mecca disc and Robin is working with his projects. There are some new dates on pollstar. That's about it.

I heard recently that former Survivor bass player Bill Syniar was spotted with 13 items in the 12 items or less line at the grocery store.

Boy is there ever going to be a knock down draged out fight between Red 13 and Slander when they hear about it.

Once again JV thanks for setting the record straight. I wonder sometimes where this stuff comes from.

Perhaps because it was mentioned that the guitar sound was like Frankie's.

However, I kinda like the tune in question though. 8)

If you google frankie sullivan and pink cream 69 you can find articles mentioning FRANKIE SULLIVAN guitars etc. I can't wait to hear FS work on Mecca. I've been listening to tracks off of Robin's Business As Usual. If this is anything like the new Survivor album will sound we will all be in for one hell of a treat. It will friggin rock.

Slander, there is a comment such as "It races along powered by Frankie Sullivan style guitars ". In other words (I would assume with almost certainty) The style is like Frankie's work. and not Frankie himself involved or on guitar.

And again you taunt me about Business As Usual. If I don't hear any of the tunes on that record any time soon, I'll go ballistic!

When's the last time you think they did a 3-hr show?

Don't get mad, Colnel it's not a rip.
Merely saying I'd GLADY sit through a 3-hour Survivor show.

I will say this....they are one of the FEW bands out there that actually have great material for a complete 3 hour show....no filler needed....

Now that would be a set list....

I saw Elton John several years back and it was a three hour show, seriously! I know EJ! But he was great!!

Some of my boots from Survivor with Dave when he got back with Jim and Frankie early 90's are pretty darn long. I haven't timed them but what a treat it would be to see a show with that many songs in it these days.

I only saw them headline once. It was during the WSC tour. I think the show last almost 2 hours. There was a long solo...lol...during Can't Let You Go. It kicked ass. Nice light show too. More recently the shows i think range from a buck 15 to a buck 30.

I don't believe Marc has played on the Too Hot To Sleep cd. Only Frankie has played on all Survivor cds. Peterik has had his stamp on all cds too...Peterik has only not played on the Reach cd. While Marc plays drums on those cds he doesn't play much of a part creatively with Survivor.

I love Droubay. You are right he is a Survivor but let's not act like Survivor is the only band in rock n' roll that has issues. Damn I think Survivor family looks like the Waltons compared to other bands like Journey or Van Halen.

You are correct...if you look at the other big bands in AOR Survivor are relatively low drama.....

And Yes, Frankie is the only person who has been on ALL of Survivors albums.....

For me, Frankie without Marc would be sadly, not Survivor.

The reason Marc is still with Frankie is because its an unconditional relationship and he understands him, much more than JP ever did. 8)

We all fall short at times in our relationships with family, friends, and co-workers. We are only human.
