Hungry Years & You Know Who You Are

Postby Diffworlds » Sun Feb 24, 2008 1:42 am

Does anyone know where these fit in relation to the "Fire Makes Steel" songd? Were they done at the same time and chosen for the greatest hits CD? Just curious as I think they are good songs, but felt the band needed something stronger to advertise as new Survivor songs at the time. I think they would be midway down the list in demos from the 90s that I have heard (again just the FMS stuff and a few live songs).

Thanks,
Mike

They were recorded before most if not all of the FMS demos. Joe Vana might be able to give you a little more info though?

Hey Joe, I have a question for you that you may know the answer to, or at least be able to ask Frankie about?
Back in around 1993 or so I heard that Survivor were going to have a brand new song in the movie "Loaded Weapon" that was one of those spoof movies. I went to see the damn thing expecting to hear a new Survivor song, but was disappointed when I didn't hear anything from Survivor in it. Do you know what happened that there wasn't a Survivor song in it?

Yeah, it was from 1993, it was actually called something like "Loaded Weapon 1 & A Half," but you can just say "Loaded Weapon." From what I recall I think Emilio Estevez and Kathy Ireland were the main stars? Back before the movie was out I had read that Survivor were supposed to have a brand new song in it, but I never heard one in it once it was out.

Thanks Joe.

hey Joe is it true that:

1- "Velocicitzed" (the Survivor version) was to be in the Movie "Driven" with Sylvester Stallone?

2- "Nevertheless (1993 version) was to be in the move "Mighty Ducks II" ?

and finally

3- "Fire Makes Steel" was to be in "Rocky Balboa" ?

Thanks

Would love to hear Velocitized original demo version from 1992 with Jamison.

This was an early 90's movie. It spoofed many movies at the time. Loaded Weapon 1 also starred Samuel L. Jackson.
