It especially sucks that Eddie Money is recording a CD of country versions of his hit songs.

The change was just me"Starting 'BS,'" huh, S?

"know" MY "shit?"

Get the f outta here.

This is an interesting take, too, in what they say (and don't) and who they choose to dub "a good, respected guy in the business" (and not):

"Keyboardist Chris Grove has left the Chicago based band Survivor for Money$. Well not cash money, although he will do fine. He has left to be the new keyboard player in the Eddie Money Band. He will make his debut with the band in March. This is a great opportunity for Grove a Crown Point resident, Eddie is a class act and well respected in Rock-n-Roll Circles. Not to mention a real cool guy."

Jim Peterik, anyone? :D

In all seriousness I highly doubt we'll ever see Peterik back in Survivor. But it would be the perfect time to bring him back.

Agreed, but it remains unsaid by that author.

Maybe he did not see the need or a reason to praise "Survivor" as the respected guy money is.

Red I was the one who found the damn article and posted it! If you had the information why didn't you post it? What is the same old bs is the going on and on about Survivor's tour dates etc. That is bullshit especially posting on a day when they were playing! If you had the info then why not post it?

And Frankie, too, if there's room.

I have David Carl's solo album that Peterik and Ozzello were on, he's a great guitarist and singer.

But Frankie's gotta be the lead guitarist in the band.

If you had the information at the time why didn't you post it? I said you were full of bs because you went on your normally boring tirade about lack of albums and tour dates. I called you on it because they were performing that night. For guys that know how to use a computer you sure aren't very savy. There's a thing called Google! You can find out quite a bit.

Well, then you're admitting my intuituion about a change being right with Grove's ouster.

Hey, Slander, you blowhard, what should REALLY concern you is that we're now 3-4 days out from this change and the state of this band is such that it doesn't even rate a BLURB on the front page of this site and Andrew knew this right when I knew it.

My god, what has happened to this once great band?

They're not even a FOOTnote now.

You yourself are telling people to use Google and Pollstar  to find out info on the band, WTF is THAT?!@?!?!?! When they have a website and a myspace (both of which are ironic mircrocosms of the "band" itself).

We ask you about SURVIVOR's goings on and you give us Mecca and McSolo Shows.

Dude, face the reality and stop being Sullivan's Bagdhad Bob.

What has happened with the band? They have been around for 30 years and still play shows! That is what's going on with the band. Frankie Sullivan is producing an album that I and others are eagerly awaiting! He is active in music. So is everyone else in the band. They are very relevant. While I love the music Survivor and FS create, let's be honest they were never on the same popularity level as Leppard, Journey, Foreigner, Loverboy etc. It's unfortunate but it's true. I think it's a testament to Frankie Sullivan that the band name still resonates. The band is not a footnote! They are desired at venues all across the nation. Last year I talked to 1 venue organizer who said he had been working years to get Survivor play at his venue. As far as the Grove thing, I am happy for Chris. He is a talented guy. His departure hardly signals the end of Survivor. I am seeing Eddie Money this Friday, I hope to grab a word with Chris if I see him. What does it matter if Grove's departure isn't on the front page of the website? Red you should change your screen name to Chicken Little because for you and others THE SKY IS ALWAYS FALLING.

Comparing Survivor's state of the band to the state of our men and women losing their lives in that god awful war shows just how disproportional your hostility is to the situation. Why is it you and others aren't happy unless your trashing Frankie Sullvian and Survivor? Why?

No, I'm comparing YOU to Bagdhad Bob, spinning a hopelessly losing situation into something completely the opposite.

There's a distinction.

What the hell am I spinning? Quote me on something that isn't true. Just because you don't approve of what FS, Robin, etc are doing at the present time doesn't make the band a footnote.

I would say that Survivor were just as popular/successful as Loverboy. But your right about the other bands.

On a side note, one time was at a Cleveland Indians Baseball game and I was wearing a Survivor T-shirt that had all of the members pictures on the back of the shirt. The guy siting behind me asked me what band the shirt was of. I told him it was Survivor, and his response was "Oh yeah, their great, a fine Canadian band." I assume he was confusing Survivor with Loverboy?
