Jimi Jamison live with Joe Lynn Turner and Orleans

Postby Christoph » Mon Sep 29, 2008 11:31 pm

just returned from a 750 kilometers trip to the "Classic Rock Night" gig in Bremen.

Great show, really enjoyed it.

Both, Jimi as well as Joe Lynn were in good shape, their voices sounded powerful and really good.

They did a kind of greatest hits gig together with the Orleans "backing" band which also did some songs in between as well as the Munich band Dominoe (just 2 of them being there).

Survivor songs played were (as far as I remember) I'm Always Here, High On You, Didn´t know it was love, Search is over, Eye of the Tiger, I can´t hold back, Is This Love.
Joe Lynn did a couple of Deep Purple and Rainbow tunes.

What was really disappointing is the number of visitors. I guess there were just about 50.

I mean - it´s a kind of shame for those great musicians to perform in front of 50 attendees at a location where around 1000 would be possible.
However - personally - I really enjoyed it - and the musicians were having fun, too.

As far as I´ve heard the financial risk wasn´t at their side because one guy just sponsered these 2 gigs in Germany, taking the risk.....

Just wish this would happen more frequently.....
