Thanks for the link, that was a great listen. I might even like this better than the original, and the original is one of my favorite Survivor songs. Frankie's guitar rocks on this version.

Great find!

There are some interesting informations on this site, too.
It's maybe worth a look later when some more photos get involved.

This mix was considered for inclusion on "Playlist." Frankie says there's an even better rough mix that Ron Nevison did, though, that rocks really hard.

considered??? Why in the world would it not be on there? I mean give the long time fans some incentive? I'm not complaining - I am really not - but at the mall yesterday and the Survivor section is starting to look like Kiss....Best off...Greastest Hits, Ultimate, Prime Cuts, Playlist, etc...In defense of Ultimate they were remastered and there was one unreleased track...

A couple of versions like this stuff, a Bickler live tune or two, even something with Robin and I'm driving all over town searching for the thing!

And now they release the same live album they released three years ago, with another song (that most have anyway). Why not a Bickler era live album?

Just talking outloud there...

Jeremy,

Do you think it wil be possible in a near future to give to the fans the re-recording of Ever Since The World Began that Jim did for your "Special" Wedding ?

What are the songs that Dave sung and wich are the ones that BOTH sung ?

Fans would be blown away if a video or audio was made of this Historic duet...

Take Care

Fred,

As far as the wedding goes...It's nice that this piece is generating a little interest, but I just want to say a couple things. I was very surprised when Mike Ragogna's story appeared in the Huffington Post. Mike is the person who hired me for my first jobs in the music business, and I owe an awful lot to him. We remain close friends. Mike has since moved on from working at the labels to work as a writer and recording artist himself. Mike was at my wedding and was inspired to write about Jimi & Dave's appearance. That article came as much as a surprise to me and my wife as it did to you -- we were already on our honeymoon when it appeared. It's a really nice tribute and I truly appreciate Mike's kind words...but at the same time, I view my wedding as a private experience, not something that would receive "publicity." So on the one hand, it's flattering that people are interested in this; on the other hand, it feels a bit odd.

I am very fortunate to be friends with several former members of Survivor. And it's in the spirit of friendship that Jimi, Dave and Jim P helped make more than one dream come true that day. That is to say, they weren't hired to play a wedding. They were invited as guests, along with our other family and friends (including the HuffPost writer, Mike). And as with several of our other friends and family members, they contributed their talents to making it a very special day for my wife and me. The specific details of the day should, I think, remain private beyond what has already been published.

One last thing to mention... at the risk of coming off like a shill... you should really check out the new "Live in Japan 1985" import CD from Japan. Even if you already have "Extended Versions" and got the other 2 tracks online, hearing it as a full concert on a great sounding disc gives it a whole different impact. Frankie absolutely kills on this concert.

Thank you again Jeremy for the Info.

About the "other" Live VHS released in Japan (The Pioneer Super Live 1986 Nagoya, Japan)

Did you check with the "Pioneer" guys ? There's a serie of "Superlive" that was featured in japan in those days..

And, now there's a CD version of the Japoan 1985 show.. do you think it would be more than welcome to re-released the show in DVD or blue-ray from a remasterization of the old Laserdisk ?

Thank you

Another thing Jeremy,

Do you know if Frankie tried to put the live version of "Kid Dynamite" that he just found some months ago in an old box ?

Really don't know it this song was ever recorded in studio...

It's a killer track...

Jeremy on your wedding...besides being a day that you will always remember, having such guests singing at it, made it one of a kind.
God bless you both and the best of luck,
