Mecca playing at MR Fest 2

Mecca will do an acoustic set at MR Fest 2 and nobody wants to discuss this???

Hey JV, is that Mecca's first Live Gig? That performance would be a reason for me to go.

Very glad to hear JV is playing the gig. I was hoping he might mention something on facebook or twitter to confirm but haven't seen anything. Once again way to go JV and I hope the Mecca 2 record is not far behind.

I would like to go see this but I do not want to buy tickets for all 3 days. Sunday's lineup is pretty good, Saturday's does very little, and VIP looks good. Guess, I'm SOL.

I'm in the same boat -- want to see Mecca and Alias on Friday, am not that interested in the Saturday lineup, and Sunday looks like a must see

It took ALOT to get me to do this show, and up until the beginning of the week it was still up in the air........I am not a live guy....and what I mean by that is I am not a artist who needs that bump from playing in front of people....my passion is writing, and recording...the live process is very stifling to me...to truly replicate the musicial beds on Mecca II for example will take about 5 or 6 guys....and that will be a stretch!!

I don't even get out to see live bands really very often....maybe once a year at best...

And the Mecca II is scheduled to be in Frontiers hands no later that June 30...but probably earlier....and thats 2010!!!

Joe.....Why so humble about this show? I'd think you'd be thrilled and honored that Andrew ask you to do this,he could've ask anyone and yet he chose you. To me that's something to toot your own horn about.

I am quite honored....but tooting my own horn is something I have always been uncomfortable doing....I am going to put my best foot forward on this....I have known and been buds with andrew since year one (mid 90's) and he knows I will do anything to help him....there have been a few requests of me, so I am weeding through the best way to do the show, and the best way I can help Andrew...I am not a real "public" guy, so live shows are not really my thing...but, cuz it's Andrew I am going to put 100% into it.....

I would hope to see you there my man....JV

And as for those commenting about the Saturday line-up (Shame on you Jeremy!!), I'm going to add a VERY nice surprise...2 or 3 even....something that I think will make all 3 days essential!

Considering he opened it up for MR Fest I and is a sponsor once again this year, I say we all meet there and eat and drink. Anyone else in? And if Tito goes ... watch out. Dude likes to disappear when the bill comes.
