Twitter vs. Facebook.....

Postby Joe Vana » Mon Apr 05, 2010 7:01 am

How many of you guys are on either of these????

I am on facebook now...I deactivated my twitter....FS is on facebook as much as a high school senior, he seems to enjoy it quite alot....JP has a page but it is managed by someone as he is wayyy to busy I am sure to be on there much....

Myspace just seems to be a breeding ground of overweight married chicks looking for dudes...and visa versa...I still have the Mecca myspace, but haven't been on there in forever...

Is facebook the way to go????

Still trying to figure this stuff out.....Opinions??

Twitter probably isn't necessary for promotion of music and I think it's very stupid in general. If you're talking about for the purpose of promoting your work, Facebook is essential, but really, so are MySpace, ReverbNation etc etc. You gotta have 'em all.

If you're just talking about social networking, then yes, Facebook is probably definitely the place to be.

twitter has got to be the dumbest thing on the net... a paradise for stalkers.. especially with the new update your location features... I mean, yeah facebook is bad but not that bad. Also, twitter updates are a little too personal for me because I really could care less if your on the toilet or something.. It had potential at one time now it's just an addiction for some people who cant go five minutes without texting or "tweeting"....

Joe I post on both at the same time. I use FB to stay in touch with my friends and Twitter to get news and information! I think they both are excellent and serve different purposes. To be honest I get most of my news from Twitter. I find it extremely convenient. Sad to see you leave Twitter.

Facebook Joe......easy to stay in touch with people and I honestly have no need to know that a person is taking a dump or whatever via twitter. In my opinion the most overrated application I've ever seen.
The need to know everything about everyone and what they are doing is dumb in my opinion.

I hear you ty...I agree that it is useful for breaking info...but for everyday mundane stuff no thanks I agree it can be useful but not for me. Dont like the ides of the need to know every boring thing someone is doing at the very moment it happens. This is especially true with celebs.....dont need to know that the latest teenage wanna be pop star is in the bathroom. throwing up lunch, so she can stay thin and have fans like her.

Priceless!!!!!!!!! HA!

Yea...Facebook seems easiest....I am not really on the computer much anymore anyway....too many other things to do......I have the facebook more as a way to communicate with band members and friends....and such, If I wanted to keep in touch with people from high school I would have been talking to them the past 25 years...yep....25 years....damn I am OLD.......gonna be 43 this summer....somebody get me a bed at the home!!!

Anyways....Facebook is it I guess for now until I tire of it...

Thanks for the input...as always....JV

Face book is the way to go. It is gearing itself to be the social center of WEB universe. It's even rivaling and actually starting to overtake Google as far as web traffic.
