be interesting to hear, but honestly...I thought Crossroads Moment would have been better with a few tracks cut. I've hardly found any albums where the quality can stand that many tracks without dropping. I'll reserve further comments until hearing the songs however. That said, Dream Higher is pretty good and probably would have been better served on the album than some of the more Pride of Lions-sounding tracks.

Too bad you couldn't get the JJ vocal of Sound of Home on there. Wish I could have figured out how to download it from his myspace page for the brief time it made an appearance.

Andrew, Wish you the best of luck on the release..

I think this is going to be great have a few of the tracks already,so pleased that it will complete the sessions for the album.Never thought we would get to hear them all.I am glad Streets Of Heaven is not included as this was an expensive purchase for me for the Jap import.Jim has loads of songs that were meant to be on a vault type compilation that Frontiers spoke about 5 or so years ago(it is available as a boot on trading sites)maybe one day we will get these too!!
A couple of questions, the POL live from Melodicfest was great, and worth the subscription for the year alone, any chance of the Jamo set being put up for us subscribers?
Is the backstage footage with Jim and Jimi from the first fest going to be on the forthcoming dvd that you are doing?

Like I said on the main board, this is an exciting release and you are to be commended for doing it Andrew, for us die hard fans it is what we have wanted,to everyone who has helped with it THANK YOU

Yes, backstage footage from MRF1 will be on DVD.

Jimi set should go up on MR-X eventually...

gosh you are so impatient!! I got here as quick as I could!

you KNOW what I think.

go to facebook and check out my new profile pic.

I have heard Dream Higher before. I pm'd Jimi at myspace last year sometime to ask him if he had considered offering it to MARY KAY cosmetics to use at one of their big conventions--I have gone every year for 25 years! It sooooooooooo sounds like something that would fit in! He said that he would look into it and that's was the last I heard. I am going to Dallas for the convention in August so I'll take it with me!! Maybe we can get him a corporate nod.

Yeah, it's gonna be a great cd. I LOVE EVERY song on CM--and I listen to it nearly every morning on my hour commute. I told him so in Chicago and got a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y no comment. :? ImADork. I think it was worse than saying ohmygoshyoursohotIloveyou. ratz.........

And I love hearing Jim P sing so it's gonna be great. I hope you gave Steve Price a copy. mystery song????????!!!!!!!

ok, now you've done it. how much do you think a GirlCanTake?! wooooohooooo!!!!

sigh.... I would go country for that voice--a concept that is not out of the question according to some of his comments here and there.

Loved Survivor but this JnJ release of left overs doesn't appeal to me. Playing it too safe for a first release me thinks, could have been a great opportunity to introduce some new unknown blood. This genre is already saturated with play it safe bands. Oh dear!!

hey now. We can get into some new blood too, but we like our "play it safe' bands as well. There's room for everyone!

maybe CM shoulda been a double cd? Maybe that's why I can't get enough of it!! 8)

Good God! There's no pleasing some and thanks for sticking around to see what's next!!!

I'm working on 4 other bands right now - 3 of which are DEBUT ALBUMS! Will YOU give them a chance I wonder?

Andrew, you asked for some discussion on the JnJ release, I thought you wanted and could handel some honest feed back. It is after all only one (my) opinion. Lets face it honesty is never very popular.

The other 4 bands you mentioned, now thats something to get excited about!!!! and curious about and create a bit of a buzz about. Of course I will stick around and give them a chance. Much prefer to give support to new talent and as yet unreleased and undiscovered gems that Melodicrock.com surely has access to.

Alas, there is "no pleasing some" so lets please the masses. Just my 2 cents mate.

Thanks for clarifying.

My only beef - not the fact you are not interested in JJ - was the jumping to a conclusion based on what's coming without yet being informed of that.

Stay tuned...I hope you do like what I am working on.

I would love to see some type of collaboration with Jamison, Peterik and Dave Bickler…any chance of that ever Andrew? Has Bickler ever been invited to the MelodicRockFest? Just curious….As you seem to be the one that brings these guys together….

Looking forward to Monday!! I think and hope it sells well.

Was hoping for "Come Dancing", would have been a surprise to a lot of people. JP wrote it with Jimi singing it....sounds great.

Good Luck with this Andrew!

There are 3 or 4 country demos, but this release is all about the Crossroads Moments material....so maybe I'll be able to sneak one of those other tunes in elsewhere...

Hi Andrew,
Shorts questions for you :)

Do you have any news about the World Stage DVD Show from The Soundstage Performance ?
Can't wait to hear Dave and Jimi together..

Do you think you'll be able in a near future to get the demo of Velocitized (Survivor version) , recorded back in '92 with Jamo on vocals ?

Thank you again,

NOTE:
** We (fans) all looking for a pre-82 show (audio or video) of Survivor. Do you think you can help us on that ?
It's hard to bealveid that there's no live recordings of Survivor back in 1982
All We have is a '78 show at the Haymakers ***

No ETA on WS DVD and I highly doubt it with Velocitized.

Thank You Andrew,

And How about the other thing.. the pre-84 shows?
Do you think you`ll be able to get one someday?
I can`t believe they (Survivor or Scottie Bros) didn`t record anything in the Goin' The Distance Tour '82
I`m sure Jim or Frankie did record something in this era...

I am with you Falcon, there is no way that no one made a recording of any Survivor concert between 1978 and 1984....

Not just the "Going the Distance" tour, but even CITG or the first album or Premontion...NADA!

Who went to any of those concerts and could share any memories, setlist etc?

My first Survivor concert was '85 and I was young and my memeory is fuzzy on it...I do recall JP's shirt being drenched in sweat from the stage lights, I can remember there being a lot of people with Surivor shirts (they opened for Bryan Adams). I remember them playing Search, Tiger and Poor Man's Son for sure, and opening with Feel's Like Love...It was great to see Survivor in an arena...

I saw them one more time in an arean around 2000, opening for Styx and REO...but they were not very tight and it was so early the crowd for the most part had not arrived or was not into it...

THe best I saw them was in 97 with Dave....the flat rocked....I'll never forget Nothing Can Shake Me!

Well, I am absolutely loving this cd. It is soooooo good that these are released. It would have been a crime for these songs not to ever be heard.

Heart of A Woman is still tops but I Wanna Touch You There is extra nice, too. Life #9 is in my head right now and Lifeforce is very catchy. Cry of the Wounded Heart and Chiseled in Stone are just so classic--excellent.

Thanks, Drew. ya done good. I carried that cd around everywhere in my computer bag until I finally got it into my iPhone. so now it's JJ/JP 24/7 if I want. 8)
