What is your favorite Survivor boot?

Mine is LaGrange '93...The way Dave handles the Vital Signs and THTS era material...and his voice was top of his game at that point...

You also had JP and FS, which imo is what makes the band really tick...

others?

Has anyone heard the Survivor Kansas City boot from late 2006. I think Mcauley just joined the group. I have yet to hear 93 with Dave singing vital signs material. Is it good? Love to hear it. That record was written with Bickler in mind, no?

I asked FS about that. As I read that somewhere and sure about it too. Frankie said that it wasn't true. Oh well.

I recall FS saying that it wasn't true that there were demos of DB on the Vital Signs material, but I'm pretty sure that they said part of the album was written before Jimi was hired...anyways....

Slander, Dave is masterful on VS matieral on that '93 boot...I love the way he handles the material....it gives them that grit....

There were some rumours that he'd recorded a version of Broken Promises at one point. Maybe he just sang it with the band but it was never recorded/demo'd?

Broken Promises is a different song with Dave at the helm...gritty, edgy, tough....Love Dave's version (from the boots and live stuff I heard)...

What amazes me though is how well he put his spin on "Search"....his version on that '93 LaGrange show is breathtaking...Man what pipes!

Even "I can't hold back" carries a little edge with Dave and dont' get me going on what he does on Burning Bridges...
