It pisses me off that he backed out of Rambo V.

Actually, I think it goes right along with being a perfectionist. Think about it-- if you're not going to consider something finished until it's perfect, then it will never be finished because there will always be something you could tweak. I think finishing a project sometimes comes down to letting go and saying, "Ok, this is good enough," and a perfectionist can't do that. Now, I don't know if that's really what's holding up the new Survivor album (probably not), but I guess it's a possibility.

Our goal is to have a new cd, his goal might perhaps be to just play and create tunes. So it's a totally different space. Now, he might be a perfectionist in that, and this doesnt include an album anytime soon

I agree with you MJ. Does anyone really care? Yes I would like to hear new music by Survivor by Robin on vocals but at this point I have officially given up. I just don't understand having "coming soon" on a website if it ain't going to happen. I give JJ and JP credit for putting out new music, but do Survivor or casual fans care about a jazz album or JJ's album with Kimball? Is anybody rushing to buy those? I think you are on to something MJ.

He also did comment about playing "new" songs about a year ago that and I paraphrase "why do we need to play anything new when they only want the old stuff?".

The paper for the sheet music for the keytar outtro for the second demo on the new CD has been (tentatively) picked out. Sullivan said the decision would likely be finalized by next March at the latest, but it looks like they're going with Hal Leonard standard.
This should pave the way for laying down the demo key tracks sometime in June or July, given Frankie's hellish schedule.
