"PRIDE OF LIONS

Pride of Lions is carrying on their proud heritage working hard on their as yet untitled fourth studio album. Jim Peterik says: "Our self titled debut released in 2002 is still many of our fans favorite albums. So this album is a bit of a return to form. Of course there will be a few surprises and Toby Hitchcock is singing stronger than ever. I've hit a stride on the songwriting with songs such as "Tie Down The Wind" and "Coin of the Realm". I needed the time since The Roaring of Dreams to regroup and get reinspired. If you can't make a great record that will last the test of time - why even bother. This time Toby and me wanna take Pride of Lions on the road to promote this new one and spread the word". This new Pride of Lions from what we've heard so far promises to be both more melodic and harder edged. Release is planned for early summer 2012."

Would love to see them come through Cleveland.

It's hard to believe the debut album was almost 10 years ago  That sounds crazy.

I didn't care so much for their first album, but I thought Destiny Stone had some good, solid tracks. The production value on both albums, though, was pretty weak (haven't bought Roaring Of Dreams Yet.) I hope the new album has better production. I'd also prefer a different singer. Toby can definitely sing, but for whatever reason, there's just something about his voice that doesn't work for me.

After Mecca and the first POL I had to stop buying albums JP produced himself, he's still got the goods as far as songwriting goes (his contributions to Fergie's album alone proves that) but he is NOT a first-rate producer - sorry!

Did he produce Crossroads Moment? Because CM sounds MUCH better than the POL albums. The POL albums sound like somebody's home demos-- there's no oomph to them at all.
And as much as some of complained about Frankie's production of "Reach," I have to say that "Reach" sounds much better than POL. The main problem with Reach, for me, is the drum sound.

"Jim and Toby discuss the recording of the fourth Pride of Lions album, "Immortal". They also discuss the direction the songwriting has taken over the first three albums."
