Great singer, but an odd fit.

Now that Jimi is back how does this rate?

it doesn't. Nothing against RM, but it's the equivalent of hiring Brian Johnson from AC/DC to sing for Journey. You have to stay with someone who at least comes close to sounding like either Dave or Jimi.

Robin, just as the new Styx guy, sings like they are on the down low Leprechauns. (not that theres nothing wrong with that)

I actually like his tone on the song, it adds something to a ballad that's been heard thousands of times.
And honestly, I also prefer his interpretation to the boring one Jimi is giving out now.

Hard to say,He toured but never recorded a cd with them, so Robin turned out to be a fill in (6 year fill in). Kind of like judging JSS in Journey. Was looking forward to a JSS lead Journey, but never happend. SO I really don't judge that time.

Yes, I have always been critical of McAuley, but it's not really fare. Imagine judging Sammy Hagar with Van Halen, if all he did was cover "Jump" and "I'll Wait" for six years...we would say he was awful.

This band has no intention of doing anything beyond six county fairs a year and an occasional lawn party, so it really matters not who they bring in...
