Maybe Survivor should re-record a new hits package !

I see a lot of bands re-recording their hits . Loverboy , Journey and Richard Marx have recently done it on Frontiers . Asia is having great success with new cd XXX .

It seems there is a lot of money to be made on old hits and the artist have more control on their product.

Jamison's voice is still good . They could really make a cool new hits package . I can see them re-record Summer Nights , Caught In The Game , Eye Of The Tiger , Burning Heart , I Can't Hold Back , High On You , The Search Is Over , Didn't Know It Was Love ! Maybe 10 old songs and 3 new ones.

Big mistake on Sullivan for not getting back in the game !

This would really be cool for the die-hard fans and bring in new ones.

It's too bad they are not more active on the live circuit and/or their website. They could re-record the hits, produce their own disc and then sell it for profit at their shows.

Someone from their camp seems to be active on Twitter, because their are tweets all the time.....

I do not really need any re-recordings. Only disc I would like to hear re-recorded or demowise republished is 'Vital Signs' with Dave Bickler singing. I would also love to have a double-live-cd from the Bickler-era. Jamo is presented on the "Extended Versions"-CD, but there are only bootlegs from concerts with Bickler.

We do not need yet another GH package.

The band needs to get off their asses and record a NEW album.

just curious, does anyone know how much--if any--of VS was demoed with Bickler singing?

Over the years there different rumours from demos of the whole album to none demos at all. Maybe there have never been any demos and all about Dave singing VS-tunes refers to the different live takes that exist of him singing those songs. Who kows more?

I am rather confused that Bickler is announcing his current solo album for years now. He published some demos and one more or less finished snippet of "Magic". It still is not released and instead he added vocals to the two Renato Albella songs...

On wikipedia it is still said that he started to record that album in 2001! I would love to hear more music from him, because his version of "Fire Makes Steel" is just great and I can' t stop listen to "Someone Else's Sleepless Nights"...

I know. I've more or less given up on ever seeing/hearing him release a full length solo album. He did post about 4 songs on his website at one time. Sadly, I think that that is all that we will be getting from him.

The website says he has even recorded 13 tracks with following titles:

Sea of Green
Fear of the Dark
Lights in the Sky
Angel Heart
The Way
Magic
Always You
Kaleidoscope
The Gift
Wanting Only You
Hope
Down Below
Soldier

That is just too much effort for keeping them by himself. Maybe he is stilllooking for record label. He should talk to FRONTIERS. They always seem to be very open-minded, when AOR-legends want to publish solo records...

He posted "Magic" "Kaleidoscope" and "The Gift" on his website. I thought that there might have even been one more that he had posted, but I don't recognize any of those other titles.
