Jim Peterik just posted a link to this and I'd never seen it before. It was blowing my mind. A live version of the Search is Over and Jimi is backed by a full orchestra. Absolutely spine chilling!!!

An open letter to Jimi in Heaven

Hey Jaimo! Just saw you perform The Search is Over at the Classic Meets Rock show you did overseas.
Sheesh man- amazing. Goosebumps to the max. I watched it with kp this morning. She just marveled and said "Jimi owns that song". Couldn't agree more. Than again I wrote it with your voice and spirit in my head.

And the orchestra. And choir. And band -lights. Best I've heard. And you as always brought your A game. I'm still choked up.

BTW - loved the special vocal inflections you added. Leave those in.

You never mentioned this show to me you modest rascal. Then again the great ones don't have to brag

Wish you were here. Then again, you're always near.

Just saying. May God bless your soul. Much love. Jimbo

Keep Rocking!
Jimbo

This is a really awesome version...

It's weird, JJ looked more like his younger self when he took off the glasses....

He will sure be missed...

The whole concert should be released . All this stuff was great ! Jimi was a great frontman doing his solo shows. Jimi busted his ass the past 6 years to really build his name and career back up. What an incredible performer !
