Postby Mikele » Tue Oct 07, 2025 11:03 pm

It was posted on YT June 2025, don't know if it was already mentioned on the board
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXV0cOjRZfI

At 17:30 Joe mentions having recorded a "whole album with Frankie called "Reset" that it was never released".
Who remembers whta year was that recorded?

Thank you for the info!

I don't remember what year.

I do remember Joe mentioning that Sullivan was supposed to play some guitar on one of the Mecca albums. But from what I seem to recall hearing, Sullivan never even showed up to do any of the recording sessions.

It would be great if that album with Vana and Sullivan would see the light of day in the near future. But I doubt that it ever will seeing as we're talking about Sullivan here.

Ironically, earlier today I was thinking about how Sullivan had claimed that he was going to find guys who know how to make Survivor's songs sound the right way live, and how he also had hoped to have his solo album out by about October of 2024.

Sullivan's legacy will go down mainly as a guy who continuously lied to fans and who never followed through on projects and commitments. He's his own worst enemy.

Well, I surely remember that the pair recorded a whole album, as Joe was very open in discussing his frustration in this board over the fact that FS wouldn't release it as planned. Same old story here.
What I don't remember is what year it happened. And at that time I did not know that the tentative title was "Reset". Reminds me of another unreleased masterpiece, "Re-entry" with McAuley...sounds familiar. WHo knows, maybe the first single was going to be a song called "How do you feel"... :)

I still have Joe's email address. I don't know if he still uses that email or not? And of course I would never post it on a forum without his permission. But I can email him and ask him some questions about the album.
Truth be told I had thought different times recently of emailing him just to see how he's doing in general.

Frankie is a one-man vault of treasures, guarded over with the obsession of Gollum. Utterly shameful.

Everything will die with him.
