LOL Where do you get some of this stuff from?

Where is this oh-so obvious discrepancy between Neal and Jon on phenomenal tracks like FITH, TPIYH, ABL?
The guys have an amazing working relationship. The hard rocking "Out of Harm's Way" belies ur claim that Jon can't go a little 'harder' if he has to.
Jon told me himself, upon hearing Neal play only a few shredding licks of Out of Harm's Way, he instantly knew what direction to mold the song in.
"It sounds..it sounds like war," he said.
He put his pen to paper and VOILA!
You have Out of Harms Way.
Jon compliments Neal and vice-a-versa.

I adore Rubicon.
Lay it Down is decent, as well.

"adore?" dude, that word is not you....at all.. How about "dig" or "fuckin love"...but not adore..

Sorry.
*Ahem*- "I fucking dig the living piss out of Rubicon."
There.
Better?
Personally Noble I enjoy your use of intellectual language.
Don't let others drag you down to their level by throwing out f-bombs.
You can be cutting edge in this forum (which you are already) without making every "one" happy.
Just my opinion....

It was already soaring when Gregg left. He said that he was crazy to leave at that time. Come on! Bad English, The Babys, Now! Cain's tinkly piano took Journey down a different path and no matter if it was Gregg or Cain, Perry's voice would have given Journey a signiture sound and I still believe that with Gregg, it would have made a lot more people happy.

I can agree with what you are saying...except Journey was more likely cruising at a low altitude until Jon entered. THEN Journey "soared". Jon's addition to the Baby's resulted in some hit singles. Bad English did well as well...even though their #1 song was not written by anyone within the band. You are missing the point if you are only pointing at his piano playing. HOWEVER, all that being said, I would prefer Gregg to Jon ANYDAY!
28...is he a better musician? I'm guessing Jon is the superior songwriter....just asking.

City of the Angels is brilliant.
Great tune! I don't know if you'd consider Patiently and obsure tune, but it's one of my favorites as well.

Those are some of my favorite songs.

It's been over a week.
Still waiting for you to elaborate on this nonsense, HOTS.

Lay it Down is absolutely, damn it's so incredible I can't come up with a word to describe it. The vocals, the guitar, it was one of those things that, at the time, you would only have expected to find on an underground type of album, but it was on JOURNEY'S ESCAPE! The critics should have noticed, if they were listening.

I think Jon is probably better all the way around...as a pianist and a pop song-writer. But I really prefer Gregg.

Finally, I was listening to my Time 1 CD this morning and I had forgot about the song Good Times. Talk about a soul type of song. The song Knowing That You Love Me shows that same soulful Journey as Good Times. What album did Good Times appear on???
