Of course you will. You have absolutely no other choice.
('Cuz u will never have the opportunity to hear Perry sing live first hand.)
If you haven't heard, the guy currently spends his days playing mahjong in a Miami retirement villa.

If that were true he'd still be performing.

Bill Graham performance.
Skipping the Herbie roast.
Refusing to tour or even sing live once on TV in support for TBF.
Not singing at the Bammies.
Cutting FTLOSM tour short.
His recent Chicago Sox performance.

How much more proof do u need lady?

............................................

None of the above is proof. It's circumstantial, supposition and speculation. No proof there in my book.

I bet, no, I know that at this time in his life, his voice is as it should be and more wonderful than ever, in whatever key he finds it necessary to perform in. Many who have been in touch with him have said as much and I'll take their word over someone who thinks that Journey today is better than Classic Journey, anyday.

I guess the key words would be "in my book". It is painfully obvious that Perry cannot sing as well as he could. He even admitted that it would take 3-4 months to get back into singing shape! You may have a preference for his voice, no matter what, but it is a simple fact right now he cannot "do it". He has admitted that himself.

You do NOT know that his voice is more wonderful than ever...how could you. EVERYTHING he has done live in the past 15 years belies that. Is his voice what it should be...yes. It is a normal person'a voice. It is not a singer's voice. It is not a touring voice.

And who has said that Journey today is better than Perry-era' Journey? Journey today is good. Journey today is different. Journey today is active, recording, touring, working. Journey today is very enjoyable. But all of us know that Journey was incredible back then. And if Perry had felt like part of the band, or better yet part of a FAMILY, I think Journey would have been even better.

Not any more he can't.......

Yesterday's but a twinkle in your ear, my lady.

He has more to back up his opinion than you do to back up yours.

heardonthestreet wrote:It's not even an educated guess.

It sure is, because there are live performances to back up that opinion. What do you have?

heardonthestreet wrote:You think that Arrival and Generations are good music so in my estimation, you have a tin ear.

And you are completely deaf! Arrival and Generations are good music. If you do not like them that is OK. But you cannot ignore the facts about Perry's voice. And you should not equate Arrival and Generations to anything else because they are not the same. And they shouldn't be!

Let her.
Both albums hold up to Journey records of yore.

Well, considering the total cowardly shit hurled at me last night, when I wasn't on(you know who you are), I am shooting first, and defending last.

HOTS, time to ring out that tampon. I know you are on the rag, just reading your vile shit. Now, in 5 days, get back to me, we can be civil..but in times like this, I am not taking anymore shit from you wacked out Headloons.

It just cracks me up, how you all(save, Sherrie), bash the living shit out of Arrival and Generations, WITHOUT ONCE LISTENING TO THEM, or bash live Journey, WITHOUT ONCE EVER HEARING THEM. THAT is why I call you retarded, LOONS..You claim we(the normals), have no basis for fact, yet you admit to NOT listening to the last 3 CD's, and still form an opinion. Time to pull your collective domes out of your collective asses, and stop being so Goddamned stupid. It is embarrassing reading this crap. Perry himself would burrow under a rock if he saw this.

At least Sherrie tried, and she even liked some of it.....so, Sherrie is not a Loon.

So, if you dumb bitches want to rehash this shit again, I for one am ready tonight.

Let's go...

Amen to all 4 of you guys. HOTSIE, I luv ya but I'm not sure I ever heard TheCause say he likes the current format better than any previous lineup.
That WOULD describe me, however. :D
