I guess I'll have to wait for a transcript. I'd be here all night waiting for it to buffer and load.

Can you post the highlights Jetster?

The talk about the early days and the first set of early songs. Neal says it doesn't work at casinos cuz it's a different crowd and they just don't get it. They talk a lot about Jonathan and his appendix surger. They talk about "Self Defense". Neal said Perry did a great job on the DVD and the new DVD will be released next year. Neal says, "Screw the critics. We're doing what we want and the crowds love it. And critics are basicaly assholes anyway." Basicaly, he is replying to the critics who say such and such song shouldn't be on Generations. He talks a bit about Deen having a problem with his vocal cords...one is ruptured and he has problems with the other...and that is the reason the set changed for the show for the DVD. He's not supposed to sing, or even talk for six months and he may need surgery to correct it. Neal talks about how "Faith In the Heartland" was to be a Soul Sirkus song. They talk about "meet & greets" and why he's not really into that any more...that it's a thing to do when bands first start out and he's just not into it any more. They talk about the "Crater Festival" and he wants to play it again.

Here's what I'd like to know.....
Which songs were actually written with Journey in mind? Were there any?

8 years into this lineup and counting, still no radio hits, and still hardly anyone knows it exists.
Hate to break it to ya' Neal, but your band is just starting out.

Deens vocal problem will be an escuse for Neal to sideline Journey, so he can do other things. Which would be a good time.-ERIC

I don't think so, Eric. Journey's the cash cow and they've done very well this year. And Deen is NOT the LEAD singer.

Don't forget that, ironically, In Self Defense was written for Frontiers!

Thanks Monker. Overall, unless I'm reading too much into what I perceive as the tone of your words, it sounds like a sort negative interview. Neal doesn't sound very happy.

Quite the contrary Sherrie, Neal sounded very upbeat in the interview and it wasn't negative at all. Neal tells it like it is and he didn't say anything derogatory at all about Mr. Perry either..as a matter of fact he mentioned that Steve did an amazing job on the Escape DVD.

Thanks Jetster. Maybe I'll get to read a complete transcript, but I know you can only tell so much in the written word.
