Postby TRAGChick » Wed Dec 28, 2005 12:37 pm

OK: noticed this on the DVD "scarab" at the beginning:

So, GH was I....

HL was II.....

so....anyone know what "III" is?

My guess would be the ROR concert rumored to be next...

At this point, I would imagine whatever "vintage" Journey product is released will be III. Current Journey will not "count".

Hmmm....that reminds me of a post made here a while back: somebody (sorry; can't remember who ) noticed that the "other Journey products" listed in the CD booklet were from the SP era... NONE from beyond that era....I read thru it and YUP!!

Isn't it ironic that Steve's doing this now... embracing the scarab... when it was him that wanted to get away from the scarab image and the continuity of the previous album covers and titles?

Good point, BUT,

He would look kind of foolish embracing two radio towers, or some chick with a cats head dumping C+H sugar into the river, while a baby is busy playing with Barbara Bushs' pearls.......

I originally thought it was a play on Mary putting little ole Jesus in his own little boat; then she is sprinklin angel dust all over the goddamned place.

Who knows the story?

And they have bird feather tails...and the baby is GIGANTIC.

The same weird kinda cat/bird/lady's on GHL. There's a scarab on one of the "jars of clay" on the TBF cover, too.

I believe we're talking about Moses here?
He looked just as foolish embracing the towers and cat head lady the first time around but that didn't stop him.
If they put out a ROR era DVD they should use the towers, it would be blasphemy to put it out with the scarab.

OK....Let's play, "What the HELL were they THINKING??"

Here's my take:

1. The baby is the subject of "One More"

2. The "Water Bearers" represent the sign of "Aquarius" - Steve's sign (go figure!)

3. There's an Eagle / Falcon hidden in the palm-tree above "CatWoman" - um....huh?
(I thought it was a reference to COTS - but the lyrics are "Flying like a wounded dove...")

4. The jar of clay laying on its side w/ the Scarab - IMO I think it represented the "hope" for the reunited Journey - that it fell over, but was "not destroyed" - (yet).
