Perry vs Journey, err, UnJourney.

Folks, a lot of you on here think I am off my meds, completely insane and too harsh, you need to see what these same Heads here say on their Pro Perry sites. It's sickening.

People, They applaud Deens ruptured chords, make ungodly fun of Augeri, call Neal a loser, and refer to him as "sock boy", saying he needs a bigger penis, and he can't lead, has no heart, is not close to Prince on the guitar and hopefully, UNJourney will disappear into the night.

They talk about the dismal attendance at this years shows(they're a bit off on this), and say Generations is Neal's legal bootleg.

I swear, if it gets worse, we need to go, and fuck with them....They asked for this; I will make sure they pay.

I think people forget these are actual human beings involved in this. If you don't like the music or singer that's one thing, but some of these are just slanderous, personal attacks which have nothing to do with musical abilities. Kind of reminds me of work.

This is not a "war"! First of all it's supposed to be about the music! All the members of Journey, past and present have made the music out of love and because they want us to enjoy it. I'm sure none of them would appreciate your declaration of war any more than the comments you're so concerend about. First of all, do you really think they read this stuff? They have a life and a job to do. Secondly, i'm sure they're all pretty used to it by now. You can't be famous and not hear crap. Next, Steve Perry gets more "crap" said about him than anyone and i'm a huge fan but God, who cares? I could give a s*** what anyone says about him, i'm still his fan. All this kind of s*** is so petty and monotnous! I'm from perryville and sure sometimes you get an obnoxios person who says something that someone finds objectionable, but it's the only site i post on because they are the nicest! Rarely will you hear any bashing. If the mods see it, it's gone. It would be nice if everyone was respectful of everyone else, in life in general, but they're not are they? If i went through this entire site, would i find nasty things said about anyone? I guarentee i would!!

Did anyone see the announcement on BT that UNJ has just been scheduled to play in Chicago in December? Didn't take long for them to latch onto the momentum Steve has provided...ONCE AGAIN! Do you hear that sound???? It is the GIANT SUCKING SOUND of UNJ trying to take whatever Steve does away from him! I bet they book as many dates as possible in that area. They may have co-written that song, but they would have never gotten the same kind of attention or press that he got. NO WAY!

Not UNlike releasing the Houst. DVD a month after Generations hits shelves and the Journey Gens tour was in full sway. BTW I saw an ad for that thing in a rag called "PASTE" and the header reads "JOURNEY...THE WAY YOU REMEMBER IT." :roll:

These are not Journey fans. These are strictly Perry fans.

The National Anthem..At Denver, Neal and Jon played the Anthem. Well did you folks know Neal sucks? and Jon(Nancyboy, as he is called), is NOT talented?

1) If Steve Perry was so concerned about Jon and Neal using the name Journey after replacing him in 1998, why did he still use the Journey name after "replacing" Steve Smith and Ross Valory in the mid-80's?

2) If Journey is nothing without Steve Perry, why have FTLOSM and GH+5 sold less than half of what Street Talk has COMBINED? If Steve Perry is such a god, shouldn't he be able to sell records without Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain? Or is it just possible that STEVE PERRY is nothing without Journey as well?

3) I'd like to know why the great reunion album, Trial By Fire, has only sold maybe 200,000 copies since being SHIPPED PLATINUM in 1997. For the math impaired, that's 25k per year in the 8 years since. Arrival has sold around 190,000 copies since being released in 2001. That's about 50k per year.... without label support... with a new singer... and no promotion. How is that possible? I am going to address this. Neal is, as I am thinking from hearing him on BTM, is a fan of Hendrix, and his take on the "Star Spangled Banner" is HIS OWN. I don't believe that he was trying to play it exactly like Hendrix. He was doing the song and making it his own, by the way HE wanted to play it. Which was good I might add.

And you say that it sounded crappy. Did you ever think that maybe the sound system wasn't designed for the guitars and keyboards? Just like the sound system wasn't designed for Perry singing DSB? I believe the sound system was for just calling out the game, not for the music.

Perry will ALWAYS have an income, he probably makes over a hundred grand a month in royalties on "Lights" and "Lovin Touchin Squeezin" alone. Were Perry to tour, the only people that would get money from his performances would be Perry and his staff and promoters. Technically anyone who shares writing credit with Perry would get performance royalties, but not directly, it all comes out in the wash.

Perry using the name Journey reminds me of all that nightmare bullshit groups like The Temptations and The Four Tops go through with different people using the names and calling themselves "The Original Coasters!" or "Jerry Smith's Platters!" Kind of like the 2 guys from CCR having to call themselves Creedence Clearwater Revisited (hey, same acronym! How convenient!). Can you imagine 15 years from now, touring the country "Steve Perry's Journey," "Neal Schon's Journey Experience!" and "Ross Valory's Original Journey To Tomorrow Featuring Anysley Dunbar!"
