OFFICIAL FOOTBALL POOL(current Pot-$50)-CLOSED

Postby Rockindeano » Sat Jan 07, 2006 7:16 am

Hey all. This is a "clean post." By that I mean, please don't respond. Due to money being involved, I will post all our picks here.

As everyone is aware, $5 dollars(not Mexican Pesos, smartasses), and due to everyone being stretched out from Canada, to Milwaukee, to Joisey, to California, we will operate on the honour system. Simply send the winner $5 dollars on Monday morning. I think it's only fair to get him or her the money asap. Ok, here we have the picks.

The four teams to win, and total points on CIN/PIT in parenthesis.

Good luck everyone. I have a feeling we won't know who wins until Sunday evening.

I enjoyed the games, but it's a principle I have. Not to sound holier than thou but I got torched one time with baseball and won't bet again.

How so?

I understand this pool here is based on trust, and I hope everyone will pay the 5 dollars to the winner. If they don't, they will be known on the board as a bad person. I don't see anyone NOT paying, 13.

No, I mean I got my own dick knocked in when I tried to ride The Big Unit and the '95 Ms one night in the ALCS against The Tribe (who had like Chad Ogea or somebody going) and I lost much coin. Haven't partaken of so much as an office pool since.

I went to all the M games on 95...Unit was a beast..That year they came from 12.5 down and beat the Angels in a one game playoff in the kingdome. Met the Unit..weird dude. He would bring a three piece drum kit in on his off days and play in the pen..Also had a remote control big rig truck and trailer, and stand next to the pen on off days and drive it all the way across the field, messing with guys in batting practice...Scared the hell out of ARod one time...

Ooooh baby!

And you can tell I didn't cheat, because there is no "message edited by"...

Nice game Giants. They should be kicked out of the league for that.

So, after that ball busting effortby NYG, 8 people have been eliminated;

clasicrocklady
Yogi
NIGGY
Sadie
28
classicstyxfan
Angie

These people remain alive:

I'm toast, unless PIT keeps scoring.

Palmer, out for year. Torn ACL.

Kitna isn't bad though. Green Bay is making a pitch for Kitna.

Actually one more TD and I win...by either team.

28-17, PIT total, 45 points

I remember the 1-game playoff Deano....Johnson vs Langston the 2 best lefties in the AL (and in M's history) locked up in a dandy.
Angels lost it on a swinging bunt play at the plate where Langston spazed and made a bad throw. I still think Langston had Tino Martinez struck out in the 98 world series when he buckled him on a 2-2 curve. Ball 3, of course b/c the yankees were at bat. Next pitch was a grand slam, game, set, match, series Yanks.

Everyone, send your 5 dollars to SMB.

She won on virtue of tiebreaker, by 2 points.

I will design next weeks brackets, and throw in some teasers as well.

Thanks for playing.

I think you are off on the M's/Halos.

I was there. it was a 100PM matinee at the Kingdome and Seattle won 9-1. Rex hudler doubled off the Unit for the only Halo run.
