Journey Greatest Hits is #10 on Billboard catalog charts with 14 million and counting. I wonder what the highest selling GH package is? I thought it was the Eagles.

Eagles Greatest Hits 71-75 is the biggest selling of all time. At least it was last time I checked.-ERIC

I want to say I agree with you Abs, but some yayhoo on BT said ACDC and Pink Floyd were the only ones higher.

PF and AC/DC are only albums and not GH cd's ; Dark Side of the Moon and Back in Black. They are the highest.

Yea it is a shame that an artist can reissue something with extra or remixed songs and still have it count toward the orginal cd

Angie, you and that damn Purple ink!

I agree with you, sort of. IIRC, GH was at 10 mill forever. Maybe they just updated it? But even then, 4 million in 2 years, despite how good the last 2 years have been, seems high. However, it's right there in the link, 14 million.

It's the GH and it's quite a ways down there. Number ten has 17 million in sales and the GH is 10 million. I didn't see Escape on there. Here is the whole thing:

With these GH albums from bands like Journey, Boston, Eagles... still charting so high on the catalog charts, makes you wonder why the record companies don't wake up and realize that there are still millions of fans out there who'd rather here the new Journey song as opposed to Jessica Simpson's new song!

Seems like if they would figure out that there is still demand for the old stuff, that there could be demand for new stuff from these bands as well! I'm so tired of the hip hop ruled radio!! :evil:
