Augeri can't even be defined without Perry:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Augeri.

And now, Perry's entry:

http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Steve+Perry+%28musician%29&curtab=2222_1&linktext=Steve%20Perry%20(musician)

Hmmm, the second link is not working, but highlite/copy/paste still does.

Plus if you click on the Steve Perry link, Augeri is mentioned there. They're both part of Journey's history, period.

Yeah, no shit.
Augeri's one claim to faim (if any at all) is the fact that he replaced the inimitable Steve Perry of Journey fame.
Tyketto has very little in way of maninstream name recognition.
Tall Stories is even less known.

Did Augeri run over your dog or something?
What's the point of all this.

Wow, I didn't realize how bad I have been this morning.

I do apologize.

It is not Augeri the man that gets me. There is NO denying that his integrity and genuine kindness is vastly superior to Perry's crap. I just get irritated sometimes that he is spoken of, talent wise, on the same plane as The Voice.

Would I love to hang out with Perry for a day? Absolutely.

Given a week, though? I will take Steve Augeri. I don't think his ego would ruin the experience.

Yeah, that's bogus. Even Augeri knows perfectly well that he is nowhere near Perry's league. That is why he is soo damn humble and subordinate. He is just thankful to be living the dream.

I don't want Journeys frontman to be a Boy Scout. I prefer a controlling, perfectionist, who isn't satisfied until they get it right and has talent that is unmistakable. It's all about the music.

Perry has never spoken ill of his past bandmates and for that matter, has never put anyone down. His so called EGO is just hearsay. He has always been gracious in his interviews. Spending a week with him would be anyone's dream come true. You would meet all kinds of talent, as he appears to be acquainted with some of the best musicians. I would be honored to have him consider me his friend and just talk about anything.

That's a bold-faced lie and you know it.
Herbie was just doing his part to keep it real.
Unlike you he doesn't view people as black or white.
While he extolled Neal's talent, he simoultaneously also said the guy isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
That's the way life really is...shades of gray.

No, you want Journey's frontman to be an old pussycat...

You know, does nothing but lay around all day and hack up hairballs, has no desire to do anything else. To keep you happy, he'll rub against your leg once in a while.

And, of course, you love scooping the crap out of his litter box.

Right, Noble. I meant to say that he dissed them all at some point.
You just had to watch his face during a performance, to see how much he cared for them all.

CONTROLLING/PERFECTIONIST & EGO are the same thing, dude!!!

You are living in fantasy land about Perry. I guarantee inside of 24 hours, he would make you cry like a 10 year old! Then you'll be back here trumpeting Augeri! Whatever it takes, I guess!

Well, I guess Steve Perry is nothing then since it mentioned he replaced Robert Fleischman!!!!!!!!!

This is a the MOST retarded post. Meant to cause trouble. It is like Saying Bush isn't anything as a president because it mentions the President before him. GET REAL!

I don't think Herbie particularly cared for Jonathan ever. Never heard him say anything bad about Smitty.
