Something intriguing...

...well at least to music geeks like myself. I frequently go to www.riaa.com to check out the gold and platinum database, for certifications. Well not too long ago I was on there typing in various bands, and I typed in Foreigner. To my surprise, 1991's Unusual Heat was certified gold, which didn't seem right because that album hit the delete bins faster than you can say Your Filthy Little Mouth. But I thought, whatever. Well, I just recently checked and it is no longer on there.

Mick Jones trying something fishy maybe?

I figured this could lead to some interesting discussion.

Andrew Probly knows. At that time before sharing/burning was so rampant, I wouldn't'a been TOO surprised to see it go gold after all these years....it's only 500k.... I think Jones' legacy stands too strong on it's own to "try something fishy" but who knows? Wouldn't that be funny. A mistake (the adding/removing of the classification) maybe?

Hell of a good album at any rate...deserved gold if it didn't get there yet.

I preferred Mr.Moonlight myself, but "Lowdown and Dirty" is a kickass song. Edwards did a fine job.

One of theses Journey type groups. If it is not the orginal singer, people refuse to listen to it, no matter how good a cd is. Unusal Heat was an awesome cd, but since Lou wasn't on it, people din't give it a try. Sounds lot like Journey, no matter how good the cd is, no Perry no listen. Sad  -ERIC

It's too bad about Lou Gramm's ongoing health problems. I thought Foreigner was GREAT during the Vacation's Over Tour with Journey. Sounded great live.
