I doubt that his, possibly being a perfectionist, needs to be cured. It worked for us with his recent work with the Escape DVD and is something that I, for one, consider a virtue. Classic Journey would have not been the same without it, imo.

Is it a generalization? Yes.

Is it lame? Maybe.

Is it almost always true? Yes.

If that's the case, you would be dripping wet if you saw me, and that ain't much. You are so dillusional. God I missed your stupid writings.

I certainly DON'T buy into ANY of this crap that people are saying HERE about him, such as Perry being "afraid" of being in the public eye.

I agree with you here. That is all Bullshit. Free is fucked up. Hey, did anyone donate to your "rescue perry mission?" Dumb bastard.

And if HE WANTED to sing, I'm sure he would do it, I just feel he is living HIS LIFE the way he wants to, that's all!! :D

I still maintain he puts something out within the year.

Thanks for the name callling.

I never said perry was afraid of the public eye.

I do think he's afraid of singing live again for more than a couple verses like at the world series.

I'm sorry that you couldn't discern the difference.

Pussy.

That name seems to fit you real well.

Are you the dude who wants to release butterflies on the upcoming tour? Yes, there is a "guy" over at Quacktalk who wants to release butterflies and/or balloon butterflies.

You sound like him.

Perfectionism, stage fright, blah, blah, blah....

Why do Perry fans always have to find reasons to excuse Perry's behavior? Ah, poor Perry has "perfectionism syndrome" and can't sing anymore because of it....so sad. That's how you guys are sounding.

He doesn't do it because isn't motivated to do it. He doesn't WANT to. It's not some BS psychological technobabble.

And, no, he won't release anything by the end of the year...except more recycled Journey stuff from the 70-80's, or maybe he'll hack up a background vocal. You'll see a Journey single hit #1 on the pop charts before Perry releases a new solo album. The only Perry solo you'll get is maybe a remastered Street Talk and/or FTLOSM.

He IS a perfectionist.Everyone who worked with him said that and more,Perry himself admitted numerous times that he is never happy because he always wants perfection in what he does. I bet that is exactly what is keeping him away from the stage & the studio. He knows his limits.

Monker wrote:He doesn't do it because isn't motivated to do it. He doesn't WANT to. It's not some BS psychological technobabble.

Of course he doesn`t want to.It would be a torment for him.Having to rise up to the crazy expectations of the people, having to cope with the rigors of the live performances, changing his lifestyle...Why would he do all that?Sure,he would like to sing again, but that comes with too much additional pain.
But,you see,Monker, behind all these things there are psychological reasons. Perry is driven by his own personal hopes and fears.

I hate excuses. Sometimes you can use every excuse you were given in life and there be no more. I think he's at the bottom of the barrel with excuses and please don't give him any more; he's at his limit.

Gee people, instead of analyzing him for reasons why he is not singing, why not just appreciate the fact that Perry just did a REALLY very nice thing for the fans by showing up at the star & suprising the the Perryville ladies. Those of us who did not get to see him in person, least got to see some GREAT looking pictures of him :D :D

Sure I would love for Perry to sing again & make new music too.... BUT I can also ACCEPT & RESPECT his right to live his life the way he wants to. He has earned that right for all years of music he has already given the fans. :D

Oh, so only "ladies" can be happy to see him? I and others are also Perry fans, but you have soured me.

You crack me up. Why can't we appreciate Perry and not analyze? Funny, you and your cow frends sure seem to "analyze" current day Journey. What's the difference? You're lucky Perry DOESN'T have anything new out right now. People would tear him and it to shreds.

Those of us who did not get to see him in person, least got to see some GREAT looking pictures of him :D :D

Shit, forgive me. "Great pictures" doesn't erase all the BULLSHIT that SON OF A BITCH put the fans and the band through. I love the guys' pipes. I wish he were the Journey lead singer, but I wouldn't cry if he dropped dead tomorrow. The guy is a first class asshole. Look at his followers..that is a good indication of what he is.

Sure I would love for Perry to sing again & make new music too.... BUT I can also ACCEPT & RESPECT his right to live his life the way he wants to. He has earned that right for all years of music he has already given the fans. :D

You would give Perry head if he had aids. You are so goddamned blind, you'd do anything for him.
