Which Journey song gives you a "leadfoot"?

Postby TRAGChick » Tue Jun 13, 2006 2:06 pm

Old or new song....it's ALL GOOD! 8)

I started this at the "Classic Rock" board; I'll bring it here, too:

For me, it's "Edge of the Blade"...I had it blaring today...FINALLY got my voice back; singing my HEAD OFF to this song.... and I found myself FLYING down the Merritt Parkway - which is a "specialized" highway in CT that does not allow big trucks or 18-wheelers...."speed limit" of 55mph, and I've got it up to 70-something! LOL

There are three songs that always make me speed like a devil: "Positive Touch","Keep On Runnin'" and "Escape"."Message Of Love" is for smooth cruising,I like it a lot...Oh and "The Eyes Of A Woman" is the one that could make me take a nap while driving,so no thanks.

Definately Edge of the Blade. Hope they play it live the next time they tour the U.S.

For some reason Only the Young makes me want to go running :?

The underdog could never win in an 80's movie unless he had a good soundtrack to back him up 8)

Ah, yes... The Vision Quest movie. The song is played as he is out for a run. I was a wrestler in High School and saw this movie several times. I actually try to distance the song from the movie - I enjoy it a lot more than the drab scenery behind Loudon Swain as he runs.

I like to picture a bright, sunny day - perhaps a daytime concert with Perry and the boys singing to a stadium full of screaming Journeyholics.
