FRONTIERS in Charlotte Tonight @ Amos' [w/Slippery When Wet]

Postby Jeremey » Sat Jun 17, 2006 11:09 pm

Just a note to some folks in the Carolinas area, we are performing tonight at Amos' Southend in Charlotte, NC. Amos' has doubled capacity to 1500 since we've played there last, and so Slippery When Wet, the Bon Jovi tribute out of Atlanta will be performing as well! SWW starts at 930 or so - We'll be onstage around 11ish....

Put all this stupid controversy aside, have a few drinks, and come out and hear some real live rock and roll music!!

Carry on...

We had a great time last night. I just wish some Journey fans would come out and see a show sometime.

Thanks, man. It's just depressing to do a big show like last night for hundreds of "Casual" fans (ie, fans of the songs who couldn't give a lesser dick about the band members of Journey), and see how inspiring the music is to everyone, and for everyone to just work their asses off to do such justice and pay such respect to the fucking NOTES - And to come back and see the absolute negativity and divisiveness - among people who are the so called "true fans" of this band - about music that is so inspiring and means so much to so many people. It just makes me sick to my fucking stomach. I get to go out tomorrow and sing Journey for 2 more fucking hours to a bunch of people out with their families to hear some great tunes that bring them back to a certain time in their life, while the people I'd most like to share that music with sit at home on their computers complaining about how there isn't any live music any more. Today, I wish I could just fucking quit.

Why in the Hell are you upset? You are doing it the right way.

We need more people like you. I know you're pissed at me, but that is neither here nor there.

Since you sound vastly better than Augeri, maybe you should be the one starting the American tour with them! At least we'd know you were live.

Hey man, I don't know what gave you the impression I was pissed, cause I'm not. I've tried to stay out of the way of the subject as much as I can, but there's nothing anyone's said or done to piss me off...

I guess I am upset because this music really means so much to so many people, and to go from seeing people just having a great time last night, to seeing the mess on this board is just a little depressing.

I'm not so sure any singer could handle the demands of being a member of Journey, period. I'm reminded of the scene from The Wall when they pump Geldolf full of juice and throw him back out on stage.

Deano, remember the time when we were on the same side I played a Frontiers cd for you? Hunsicker was touching 'em all on Oh Sherrie?

Jeremey,I am glad you felt so good on stage – I think that comes with the fact that you really believe in what you do,and that is more important that anything.
As for quitting,I am sure you will do that only when you will know in your heart that getting up on that stage doesn’t please you anymore.Which I hope will never happen as long as you will be an active musician.
Keep doing what you do and never compromise.

Here's why I won't be quitting any time soon....Look at how good these people are feeling.....If I could say one thing to everyone here, just get out and enjoy yourselves a little bit. Get some perspective on things. I think I'll take the lovely missus and catch Nacho Libre this evening...

A side note, please don't anyone sic Journey's publishing company on me again for posting this :59 clip...Aren't there more important things to worry about?

Don't quit, you are good. I wuld have been at your show in Nashville, if it hadn't been for my wacked out brother-inlaw, getting arrested, hurting his mom. and being carried off in a padded wagon :(
Have two of your shows that are awesome, keep going, and let me know when your back in area-ERIC
