Cain. That was his birth given name. I say it in sarcasm.[/quot
Thanks...Jonathon Friga, huh? Cain sounds much better.

I can see Journey doing this with Open Arms or something...

Would Perry throw a fit? Could he say something if Journey altered the music?
Rockn'deano wrote:That's a great idea. I wish to Hell Augeri would rest a year and come back and sing..I just don't think he can, but I reserve hope.
Fire inside, you listen to the clip?

They've sort of done it already! Deen sings a great lead vocal on a new remix of "Don't Stop Believin'" by remixer The Hitmaker, and they're giving the money to charity. It's on iTunes as well on CD.
Don't Stop Believin' (featuring Deen Castronovo) by The Hitmaker
Pretty impressive performance. I heard there's a cool acoustic mix coming out at the end of the summer on iTunes, too.

Thanks. I did say I wasn't sure, so I get a free pass on this one.
Let alone having to pay for it!!!Come on everyone lets all get our 5 star packages!!!!NOT!!!!!!!!!!!whocares wrote:Seriously people who go to a concert to hear a song exactly like the recorded for tape/cd/album or whatever form, are crazy. I go to a concert to hear something different. If I want to here the record, I'll stay home or go for a drive and pop in the CD.
We had a local station here (still here) that used to do "live weekend concerts", they'd play record, with live sounds mixed in. SO bogus. I called the DJ to ask about it, and he hung up on me. Go figure. It's called the entertainment industry for a reason, but that doesn't mean everyone is entertained equally, if at all. Playing a song exactly like it already was recorded does nothing for me.

Here is Bryan Adams' Heaven. Sounds really good to me. Taken from "Live in Lisbon."

That's why I like Kansas so much. They don't necessarily change up the setlist from night to night, but there is always something different in almost every song. Sometimes there is an extended jam. Sometimes the vocals are different. Sometimes they'll throw in a medley from some of their older stuff. They keep it interesting for themselves and the fans. I wish Journey would do something like that.
Come to think of it...Doing that would also lessen the likelihood that someone would accuse you of lip-synching the show.
