"Dirty Dozen" + a few. Augeri on rythm guitar on EG.... FITH great, 4 Castronovo #s (KEEP ON RUNNING spectacular). Steve A sounded pretty strong actually. Assists from Deen periodically. All in all, pretty good performance out of the boys, little better than Borgata last labor day weekend. Band real tight. Neal Schon.......on fire Genius. Wow. Crowd large and digging Journey a lot. No encore, I had to skip DL and hit the road. ArrivalRules, kicking myself I didn't find out where you were gonna be.

Crowd digging journey? I believe what you say, but many at BT say the bowl was only half filled when Journey started and still not filled when they were done.

What was your take when Augeri "stopped" singing during OA and faithfully?

No flames, just a question. Deen took most of FITH too?

That I can refute. The place was packed during Journey's set. Only thing as at all concerts was the rush for people to get to their seats from the beer line when the show started.

BTW, what's with Def Leppard playing "Make Love Like a Man" and not playing Foolin or Bringing on the Heartbreak?

Leppard just doesn't want to rock out any more. They'd rather be a bunch of 50 year olds pretending to be a boy band. At least they did play "Let it Go". They need to play High and Dry and Pyromania straight through and that's it.

Deano, it was Faithfully during which he stopped singing. Briefly, momentarily to kind of smile and beacon to the crowd and acknowledge his receipt of their appreciation. They liked the song. It was more of a "cool, I like you guys, I'm humbled" kind of split second thing.

He did it during another ballad, maybe Open Arms last time I saw them at this venue in 2001 . Nobody can show appreciation of greatness like a Philly crowd, and ArrivalRules is right. The place was close to packed.

What is it you don't believe about Red13 & Arrivalrules? They were there. They know what they heard and they know what they saw. Are you trying to tell them they really didn't see a "close to packed' venue??????

I know it was packed, lawn possibly oversold even. I have read the reviews from Journey and DL fans so it's more a question of when it got packed. I do know there was a traffic hold up in the area so some Journey fans were upset they missed the beginning of their show. Clear enough? I didn't say I didn't believe them so don't put words in my mouth. Also read that it was a DL crowd so that could also explain why it didn't fill up when Journey first went on.

Not at all. Crowd was bored with them because they didn't recognize the cover tunes. they woke up for them when they played other stuff.

Playing "Make Love Like a Man" (awful song) didn't help.

I have my issues with what's going on with Journey, but they were loved by the crowd and it was packed for them. Yes, during FITH some were running to their seats - me included. I made it.

I'm just relaying what I read on both forums but feel free to go review them and see the discrepencies yourself. I posted the pic that came from Knox who posts here and posted that in Journey's forum because it clearly shows Journey on stage and several empty seats and Knox question was when did it fill up? I already stated there were traffic conditions that held some people up and that's verified all over the place.

Personally I wasn't thrilled with the set list either but from other accounts I think you're being harsh by stating they were bored with DL. Putting another band down doesn't make Journey look any better and I'm not directing that at you as part of this response I am addressing it in this post because I have seen that agenda numerous times simply because of others lashing out at me everytime I say something no matter what I say. I wasn't at the show but I can understand what I'm reading. If you scroll up and read my posts you will see that nowhere
did I suggest that I didn't believe anyone's account of anything I was only trying to add to the conversation because many here do not read the other forums and I do.

I third what arrival and joe said, it filled up after the third or fourth song. Journey had a very good crowd, as did Def Leppard. And they did NOT play Open Arms.

1) No Open Arms...WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO

2) Every Generation...YAAAAWWWWWN. I'd rather watch myself lip synch to Rock-N-Deano than hear Cain sing this song.
And I know Schon's geetar us nicey at the end...but still

3) I don't see how the Leps are being put down? Its a terrible COVERS album and they're filling 1/3 of their setlist with it. It is just the way it is. I really can't see anyone not being bored with it. I mean, the fans are coming to see 2 bands that have HUNDREDS of songs they like, and they get treated to 5 covers for Christ Sakes. Its ridiculous and I doubt it will last.

I've never seen a band run away so fast from their own eary material. There's some great stuff on both "On Through the Night" and "High 'N Dry".
