Band Statement

Postby Rockindeano » Sat Jul 01, 2006 6:24 am

Ok, if they won't do it, I wil post it for them.

Such pussies...

In light of recent discussions on various music sites and fan forums, we would like to make the following statement.

Steve augeri has experienced for two years now, serious throat complications, we have had to utilize vocal enhancements to our live shows. The loyalty to Steve is paramount and the desire to see our live show helped make the decision to go forward with this idea. It was not done at every show, and we hope to get Steve some much needed time off to recover and come back next year fully healed with hopefully new material. We trust you will understand this unfortunate situation has taken it's toll on the band and we would like to extend our thanks of love and affection to the greatest fans in mussic.

Neal, Jon, Ross, Deen and Steve

There is your statement.

Translated-

We got caught by a couple fans, who spread it. We are embarrassed as fuck and we need a way to get out of this mess. We don't really care about you, we just care about your wallet. Fuck you Dean.

PS- I wrote it. Fuck, I have to everything for this band. If they flew me to the east coast, I would sing for them too. I guarantee I could do better than the current guy..

Deano,
If you can come clean and tell people your connection to the band and how you are sure of all this you might be able to pull in more people behind you.

Come clean?

I am an ardent fan with a brain and ears. Simple as that. I have had my theory proved to me by 2 journalists, an ex- member of the road crew, and friends of the bands members.

I know what I know, and I really don't care how many people I get behind me. I don't really want it to go to major media. I just want Journey to do it right, and if that means dumping Augeri, then dump in.

Exactly, and it should have been done a few weeks ago so that the fans who have been supporting them could do so without having to pretend with them that it wasn't happening.

They're not gonna do anything about Augeri until after this tour is over. I bet they have been advised to just shut up and play (or WHATEVER they are doing), do as few interviews as possible, avoid the topic, get through the tour, cash the checks. Tour's over in the fall, Augeri will say he's taking a break then doing something solo. The band either takes a year off and works in another singer or they fold. I'm betting they work in another singer after this tour.

Oh by the way, if they had released that statement, I could blow holes in it all the way through, but probably would have let it go.

Seems a few people think this staement is real. Deeno was just giving an example. The band is still ignoring their long-time fans.

It's too late now and that's their fault because in the beginning we were all for forgiveness, excuses, etc. Now it's like a steamroller and they can't keep no commenting as they have been of this I am sure is exactly how all media inquiries to them have been met. They had their chance now the media that covered great stories on them are as pissed as some of the fans because of the ignore feature they seem to think will make it go away. That's their fault too.

I think many people only wanted a statement at first, but yes as has been said already, it's too late for just a statement, even if it says they fucked us over and just took our money, because they need it more than us. At this point, I'd prefer they just go away. 30+ years is a long time, most bands don't get a 5th of that anymore, before they breakup for good. There does come a time when it needs to be hung up. When fans are bickering back and forth and the band sits and "watches" without doing anything, that time has come.

would you really go to the concert evenif it was free? I sure as hell wouldn't. Going to the concerts are not worth my time anymore, sadly, ya know? Plus, I don't think the guys could afford to financially. I'm not even sure I'd accept a refund if the guys personally came back to me and said, you know what, here's all the money you've spent on us at the concerts and buying Records et al...

Sure because you know probably the opening band would be real !!! and it would be funny to see them roll up in a beat up van to a show like when they were just starting out!!!
