Exactly. I saw the same directive. But at the same time, those directed here wanted to lynch me for allowing the discussion.

Sorry, but I watched a story about the American revolution last night so I can't let this sit here. I believe the "directive" was to keep it at MR. The stink was started here so keep it here.

I don't know about anyone else, but my issue regarding this site & this whole fiasco was that any and everything was allowed. This board had been shut down for personal attacks previously, but suddenly personal attacks were fine. Previously the directive was don't bring BT issues here--but now anything was fine and the moderator was mute.

Hope you are still feeling better, Andrew. Just think how you might feel if you were on tour having to do a show every night and people were bothering you with some mess created from a message board. If people think this is going to blow over then you must not believe the allegations. Now pardon me--I have to celebrate the revolution.

Well said :!: It is indeed a mixed message when standards change. Considering the pervious lock downs and closing of the Perry board here, it leaves one confused as to why now can personal attacks be ok :?: I have to side with Monker and LAWoman.

LAwoman;
"Just think how you might feel if you were on tour having to do a show every night and people were bothering you with some mess created from a message board."

They created their own mess and needed to take responsibility for it, which they didn't. They were arrogant and ignored it. The reviews came back to bite them in the ass.
I really don't care how "live" they are now. It is much too little, and way too late.

You of all people should be fully aware of my views on this - I am not at all comfortable with personal attacks and try and remove any I see.

But in the current climate between fans, it is a very hard thing to do and all I can say is that I am doing my best. Your and everyone else's help in this matter is always appreciated.

There's certainly been alot of activity from other board/site posters here too which have done nothing to help the situation too.

I've never seen anything like the nastyness thats occured on the Journey board, the VH and Lepp camp can get lively but nothing to the degree i've seen here over the last month.

Personal attacks between posters, is it really neccasary? Arent we all adult enough here? Is it really worth crushing somebody for the sake of arguing over a band?

I've never felt the need to.

I'll leave my say at that..
Regards,
Jim.

Maybe banning the drama queens would help?

Nice post Andrew.

In regards to something someone said on the very first page of this thread, if Augeri, at this point, suddenly has a great night, it has to be taped...there's no other explanation, given what I heard of the tapes of this U.S. tour...his voice is completely gone, and obviously the band doesn't care enough to allow him the time he needs to recover. It's far beyond Augeri being sick, or having an off night...either they go back to tapes, they let him sing and keep getting worse, or they pull out of the tour, I can't really think of any other options.

I did see one review posted on the road section for the Hershey show where a fan felt cheated and wanted a refund based on Steve's bad vocals and the drummer singing most of the songs. Their words not mine :( Just thought I'd mention it here because of posts that I saw saying don't go to the shows as an option but most concert attendees didn't really have that option because they knew nothing about the situation. Of course I would expect a lot more of this kind of reaction to surface from the Raleigh show.

I don't know what that means "You of all people"? I have no individual knowledge of your views except what you have posted and your actions.

LAWoman, I think he may mean that you have been on the business end of some over-the-top attacks in the past (which you handled with grace)....
