JSS can't be enjoying this and I wonder if even he can finish the tour. If reviews were going to get better, they would have by now. Looks like this experiment with Journey might hurt rather than help his career.

I'm guessing he is enjoying it & so are the rest of the guys... judging from the photos and reviews, anyway...

Experiment? Umm, don't think so...

Just my opinion coming through... we've all got one :)

RaiderFan... I'm not a fan of your review

Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion, though...

Well I didn't write it to get rave reviews from anyone. I wrote what I witnessed and heard. Like I said JSS performed those first 2 lines great and as soon as the heavy part kicked in.. THE WHEELS FELL OFF... If you want a positive spin on it... Journey was a hell of alot better of an opening act than "Tripping Daisy" was when they opened for Leppard in '96. Happy now! I drove 4 1/2 hours for that...Geesh!

"Those crazy nights I do remember in my youth/I do recall those were the best times most of all" Then came the line... "In the heat with a blue jean girl" I looked at my wife and she looked at me something like this  We then busted out laughing....I was kinda glad to hear them play some different stuff like "Chain Reaction". I really tried to pay attention to his vocals and managed to do so on 4 or 5 songs. All of which he pretty much mangled...Then I quit paying attention...We also did a Journey to DL swag count from our position on the lawn and figured there were about 5 DL shirts/hats, to every 1 of Journey. Journey was definitely lucky to have their 10 x 20 stage available to them. Unfortunately I didn't think they did much to win any new fans.
J. Cain also looked very unhappy onstage. The only way I could describe it is the way my Raiders look in the 4th quarter trailing 41-3. Waiting for the clock to hit 00:00. Does anyone know if he even wanted JSS as the singer? I know he an Schon were pretty tight. JSS and Schon looked to get on pretty well. Journey needs Kevin Chalfant....NOW!

hey bubba!!!! i know that look myself,, being a cowboys fan ,, if im not mistaken cowboys / raiders in preseason ,, i used to email back and forth with that darth vadar freak at ur games, he doesnt like texas!!!

I feel the band is on a downward spiral, especially with more bad press to come. Just think; how bad would this be if they were out there alone? I think DL are saving their collective asses, because most people at shows are casual fans and would not be 2 happy with Jrny alone.

Touche! I think. I read the other Indy review and knew from the photos it was gonna be "all good". The fact is it isn't. If you cannot hear it, you better pick up the hearing option on your insurance plan's open enrollment and schedule a check up. It is just plain bad. Every boot thus far proves that!

Morons!! Please read
Ive been here some time now...decided to sign up...this forum is riddled with repulsive, small minded, and small-dicked, (evidently), little toss-pots

I dont know who the moderators are here.. but they should be shot..... the language used here is excessive...and the abuse seems very personal

What Monker says is correct

There seems to be about half a dozen people here who are ignoring Andrew's requests...and plainly just not interested in keeping this forum "clean and informed" they quite clearly are just "taking the piss" out of Andrew..and have no respect for his wishes at all .....

It all makes for pretty pathetic reading, from an "outsiders" point of view.. I think a few have lost the plot here.... the place needs to be "cleansed" of the detritus, .. (I think the word "morons, was used..how apt..as the standard of post here is pretty moronic) and needs to be rebuilt

Adios to some of you I think, when normality returns

You knew from the photos, huh? Interesting. Didn't think any of those photos had audio of the concert embedded in them. Besides that, I never said in my review that it was "all good". In fact, I didn't comment on the vocals at all in my thread. All I said was the following...

All in all, it seemed to be a harder rocking Journey than what I've been used to in the past. That's not necessarily good or bad, just different. All the guys seemed to be enjoying themselves. I even saw Jonathan smile quite a bit and I remember reading quite a few recent reviews saying that he just looked like he was going through the motions. I wish I could've gotten some better pics of Deen, but there was a lot of glare of the glass to either side of his drums and, unfortunately, I was far enough to stage right (only 9 rows back from the stage) that I couldn't get a good shot of him.

As I said in a post in another thread, in that venue, it is more difficult to hear the different instruments and vocals clearly, unless you are in the lawn section. All the concerts I have been to at that location have sounded great from that area. I saw both Journey and Boston there the last two years and they were two of the best sounding concerts I have seen. From my vantage point in the pavilion section, the vocals sounded fine but with the above mentioned caveat.

No hearing test needed, thanks.
