Just wondering?

Postby heardonthestreet » Wed Jul 26, 2006 5:13 am

I have a stockpile of the Journey vinyl, cd's, dvd's video's, etc. I guess that I will wait to see how much raving goes on about this new Journey catalogue before I buy into it.

Anybody else going to wait and see or are you ordering early?

I will wait to see what others say about it. I don't feel the need to spend my hard earned dough on it. I rarely buy music anymore (I know, I am bad). I have bought one CD this year - The New Cars.

HOTS,

If you are talking about the re-remasters, over at the Sony-Legacy site, they are selling them for about 9 bucks each. I have been hearing about a boxed set of these re-remasters, but I haven't found any solid info on it yet. :D

whats up hots!!!!,, seems to me all this new stuff is to get folks to buy the new that dont already have it on cd , or to create a buzz, what does that do for us? one of my other fav bands have realeased 5 greatest hits in the last 10 years, same stuff in a diferent package,, oh well ,, i know ur excited about it ,,,

Larry! If you go to the "Ask JDK" site and click on 2006 you will read about it. I don't think that it is any of the material after Perry left the band, just a Journey catalogue with remastered Perry solo material.

Here's the information:

Question:I'd like to thank you so much for producing Journey's LIVE IN HOUSTON 1981 ESCAPE TOUR DVD! Great sound and awesome performance from the band! Anything else planned for Journey and/or Steve Perry? Once again thanks and wish you a great 2006!

Answer: I'm glad you enjoy the Houston DVD. Right now Steve Perry and I are repackaging (with original packaging and artwork) and bringing up the masters to the state of the art CD standards for the entire Journey catalog and Steve's solo records. They should be released in the Summer and Fall of 2006.

Question: Hi John, is there any of Journey's captured tours on any film? Any chance that some of it will come out on DVD? I think "do you recall” is classic Steve Perry vocals and Neil Schon lead break.

Answer: I'm not aware of any Captured footage.

So I guess Evolution, Frontiers and ROR at least (if not Cpatured) are getting the treatement for the fall go-round? TBF?
Why does Kalodner always have to speak in such clipped, terse, legalese-filled cryptic phrases? That gets old.
