MR comp CD with Tall Stories track

I listened to the sample there and I gotta say, can't wait for the new Tall Stories disc.

Great track...actually, oddly enough and maybe it's just my ears, but it sounds like a B-Side off Departure or something. Kinda got an older Journey feel.

That is a great track. Augie sounds strong. When was this tune recorded? Anyone?

Not sure when they recorded it. Years ago. '94, '95 maybe?

Great song, from what I heard. Really is hard to tell from 1:30!!
But shows some of what was missing from Agueri's cds with Journey. He was trying to sound like Perry and write in a Perry mode. NO!, I mean he was hired because he could sound some what like Perry, but I don't think Augeri really got a chance to step out and take the Journey sound in his direction. I mean I really liked Arrival, and loved Generations, and the songs on Red 13 were good (production wasn't), and there were hints of what could have been, but for the most part, it was Augeri trying to be sort of like Perry (which he did well)

And just for the sake of those who may say, "well JSS doesnt sound like Perry". True, and that is what concerns me if they stay with him. But he may be able to pull it off (more on that on a different thread). Augeri has that Perrism in his voice, that can keep the Journey sound while pushing ahead in a different sounding cd.-ERIC
