Are you kidding me? He sounds JUST LIKE HIM!! I have the latest "Live" disc and he's a dead ringer. He nails it!! He's a good fit. JSS isn't!!

I know Kelly's voice and I never thought it sounded like Lou's so maybe he is purposely trying to sound more like Lou (like Steve would do with Perry). I remember checking out some clips that were available and thinking Kelly sounded good...but I still didn't think he sounded much like Lou. I guess I will have to check him out again...

I think you should check out the extended versions CD that just came out a couple months back. I think I got it for $6.99. You'll be amazed at how much he sounds like the old stuff.

I mean Gramm's classic vox are in the Perry league.

Yeah, though it's just a case of knowing what your voice can and can't do. I could sing Perry for hours a night, several nights on end, and yet Lou Gramm's vocals are really, really tough for me.

Which of Foreigner's songs are the toughest for you, Jeremey?

I could sing "Hot Blooded" in my sleep. However, with a song like "Jukebox" you've got half the prechorus that falls right in the break of my voice, and the ad libs on the end are killer. I'm sure there's Journey songs that are higher that I nail with no problem, but it all depends on the biology of your voice and where the notes fall....

Jeremey, I know Jukebox Hero is TOUGH! I only know from singing in the car , but I think that has got to be their hardest. The end of I Want To Know What Love Is is pretty high as well.

Yeah, that's kind of an altissimo voice at the end of that one, which is over the break, but those songs that fall dead in the midst are killer. I believe Lou's voice broke a little higher than Perry's. My favorite Foreigner song to sing is "Long Long Way From Home." At least I think that's the name. Oh, and also "Urgent," but the end falsettos in that song are just as tough as "Jukebox."

Yeah, "Jukebox Hero" was going to be one of my guesses. Even Lou had some problems with that one back in the day.

My two favorite Foreigner tracks to sing..."That Was Yesterday" and "Heart Turns to Stone". I especially like the intro to TWY on their "Live at Deer Creek" DVD. Lou does a great job on the new lyrics in a lower register...

"I don't wanna drag up the past
As I stand alone tonight
Your voice keeps haunting me
'Cause somewhere in your heart
Somewhere deep inside, I know
There's still a part of me..."

Here it is..."That Was Yesterday" by Foreigner, Live at Deer Creek (MP3 of the audio, recorded just a mile down the road from my house).

Yeah, I saw the video of that on their web site...All I could think, though, was..."What the heck is my Grandpa doing playing guitar for Foreigner???".

Yeah, Mick's showing his age, for sure. Whenever they play here on LI, he makes a reference to someplace local (he has a house out east) & the crowd eats it up. When I saw them in June, it was a Friday night and the following morning, they were on "The Today Show" & kicked ass!
