I am playing it now and i don't remeber the Lp sounding quit like this at all."Can Do" is a real kick ass song as is La Do Da ....and then you have Opened the door it is so beautiful. I have just feel in love with the voice again. And the band too.I think it is one of there best. Escape is another great one.I could go on with this. :)

I love the sound they had back in the late 70's (including the recording of Departure). Perry's voice rivals the clarity of a bell toll back then.

Well the reason you don't remember Evolution sounding like that is because your listening to Infinity

I'm sorry to laugh, but I am having a very rough night and enjoyed that little exchange. Makes me want to pull out those CDs. I think I will do that tomorrow! 8)

IMHO, the Evolution is the best cd in the Journey catalog. Gregg and Steve sharing lead vocals, musically and Perry's voice are as good as it gets. That whole CD flat kicks ass! Majestic is the absolute best solo from Schon as well. A truely kick ass CD!

thinking the same thing.. But yes EVOLUTION is by far the bands best all the way through out.. from majestic right into TOO LATE, then LTS/City of Angels and so on!!
very bluesy rock and roll.

I think it is the best Journey album and what an underrated song in "Sweet and Simple".

Tremendous stuff
