Reverse for me. I do like Generations, but I love World Play. I think Generations gives each menber of chance to shine as does World Play, but World Play is just better. I would have preferred a SS tour this summer over Journey. The writing chemistry Jeff and Neal share is refreshing. Just my opinion, nothing else.

Agree 100% 8)

There are three tracks I think stand up to anything Journey has done. There are a couple of mediocre tracks and the rest are garbage. I enjoy it about as much as "Trial By Fire" but would rank it just below that.

I agree.

FITH, TPIYH and ABL are all great....

the rest is shit.....shit for this band. I don't think Neal would be too pissed at me for saying this. Hell, he was so busy fuckin around with SS, he didn't really give a shit about Gens, IMO.

In Self Defense is great, but they just threw that on there. Butterfly is shit, and Believe isn't even a song.

Its Never Too late is great, but does sound dated.

Too true. World play is ok, but it like all of Neals projects, is lacking... Neal is the best at what he does, but he needs a vocalist to stay with him. JSS failed to do that on WP. Neal overshadowed him. That is one of my worries about JSS as the new singer in Journey. Jss is good, but Neal as only had one person to overshadow him, and that was Perry. Augeri was good too, like JSS, but Augeri had the "sound" about him, were JSS is not a Perry sound a like-ERIC

OOHW is a great track, at least instrumentally. But overall I'll take World Play anyday over Gens.

Yup!! I like Generations more than a lot of you, but World Play has my vote as the better album overall. I don't think Jeff is overshadowed by Neal at all- quite the opposite, I think they compliment one another.

I'd sub "Never Too Late" for TPIYH but it's not a bad tune, either.
