My thoughts.....
This song has the potential to be a cool stripped-back melancholy number in the same lyrical vein as "Troubled Child".
Sadly, Jon Cain sings the whole thing through what sounds like his left nostril.
Steve A. should've sang this one, I'm afraid.
He would've instilled it with alot more human feeling.
Also, Neal needs to learn to let some accoustic songs just be accoustic songs. By overriding the accoustic with the electric he risks spoiling the whole effort. Here it's passable, but it ruins any emotive momentun "Butterfly" begun to have going for it. I dig the accoustic/electric trade-off on "Patiently", here it just doesn't work for me.
Also, much like "Every Generation", structurally, the song feels strangely half-baked.
