That's sort of true, Monker. There is more personal talk than Journey talk. However, there is a reason. What exactly is so riveting talking about them playing the Greatest Hits with Def Lippard....going through the motions...I understand that, and it doesn't bother me in the least, but it doesn't make for sensational discussion.

Ah, of course YOU want it 'sensational'. But, with a tour on and JSS being new and on and on and on, there is a LOT to talk about. But, hey, let's start a thread about ME and have something 'sensational' to chat about and make it the #1 thread on the forum. That's fine by me...we'll see where it all ends up.

However, when Tapegate was at it's apex, you thought it was too much talk.

No. I consistantly said there was too many people going against EVERYTHING Andrew requested, not listening to a damn thing he said, getting by with anything they wanted to get by with.

If it happened today, I wouldn't complain at all. I have a different understanding of the forum today.

There were several people ( Jeremey being one I believe and Svante another) who corroborated Deano's story through the use of computers. They were reputable, objective, third party figures. The evidence provided, the band's silence and the lead singer change suggest that Deano was CORRECT. In a court of law, Journey is still innocent. However, in the court of public opinion, or more importantly, the court of common sense, they're guilty as fuckin' hell. Tell "Stevie Awesome" I wish him the best....if you can find him. Bring a shovel to find him though, as the depths of shame are pretty deep.

Oh, I know that too. The thing that nobody seems to realize, including Andrew it seems, is that the more this kinda stuff goes on the less talk there is about Journey, and less people will come here to talk about Journey...but only show up here to get in online brawls. That's obvious to me...but we'll see how everything ends up.

That's an interesting observation. Actually before one of the shows last week we were talking to some fans who I think probably represent most Journey fans or at least a large percentage. They check BT & MR infrequently most of the time and then around concert time they start checking more frequently, but rarely or never post. They are not really familiar with JSS's work. They are more interested in just hearing the songs they love. They called MR the national enquirer-like site and were clearly said they had no idea what a lot of the posts were about on MR because they seemed to be about people they didn't know or were "inside jokes".

The interesting think was that several of them have the impression after checking in MR that "the rockn'deano guy" was fed a controversy by the guy who stood to gain something, JSS and his good friend who runs the MR site, since now he (Dean) is talking like he is great friends with "the guy who runs the site" and the new singer and getting passes, etc. Not sure if that is the impression anyone wants out there, but that seems to be a common idea. Fortunately, the casual fan like these people are not that interested in the drama for it to make a difference.

I am under no obligation to disclose any information to you Barb, and you may "think" you are staying above the fray, but listen lady, I was "fed" nothing, and didn't meet JSS until after Augeri was fired. Andrew McNiece and I are not close, and JSS doesn't come over to my house, play Twister and spend the night either.

Was I played? No. Was I manipulated? Probably. Now, for the answers as to whom did the manipulating, that is for you to investigate and research.

Don't get all crazy, Dean, because your ability to read fails you when you do. I was relating what some people said--that's it. From a comment made by a few casual fans you launch into some rant that was not even the point. I am not asking you anything or asking you to "disclose" anything. I was not even stating my opinion (which is that you don't know what you are taking about most of the time, since you brought it up). Why would I (or anyone) care that you despise the law? And that is a pretty shocking statement for anyone but a sociopath to make. We are a country of law--law and the Constitution makes order and the best version of equality that exists right now on this planet.

I believe the thoughts are what really matter
and the really wise people can skim over the superfluous.and concentrate on what really counts.
