Hey Shadow, I like my human condition, knowing my luck if I flew free with the birds - Ted Nugent....bang, I'd be dead

Well, I guess Ted has never been a bird
Perhaps in his next life he will come back as a bird
& will experience being the target of his own sport.

To kill for survival & sustenance is one thing
but to kill for the thrill is a total disregard for the precious gift of life.

Sure we all have killed
A spider
A fly

A mosquito
a roach
as I have

Last three I will still kill
but I do try to trap & release any lost spiders of flies that find there way in my home
except lately the flies have been getting the swat

As for flies I ask them to leave
Some go to the window wanting to be let out
some don;t
then it;s war
as they bother the bird
I don;t know if they bite or just annoy
but he cries out when one is near him
So heck I feel bad for them but
mess with my bird and your dead...

So
What's next with the Adventure's of D'Avatar?

Don't get me going on Ted Nugent

Avatar, well if I'm feelin' up to it, He'll collect someone in Sheffield and head off to Tasmania  Hey perhaps the flies just want to see Budgie's cheerios trick

Tasmania? I thought it was a European tour?

I'm enjoying the story though Styxman. You horror bumping off SA like that!

Was I one of the wee traffic cones that tried to set him free of Avatar and Perry?

I'm sure you'll bump me off in the story at some point. Why don't you send me after Avatar and Perry and then they can dispose of me? Throw me in Loch Lomond maybe... or throw me in the Atlantic or something like that? Maybe even put me in the lorry to Siberia in SA's place... up to you.

Would make for some good entertainment.

What's this thing you have about Loch Lomond, doesn't happen to be that nudist colony on the small island there  As for the Lorry, there is no Lorry anymore, no cargo
I'll keep an eye on you over the next few weeks.....as I might just drop you in Bagdad

That is what I responded to. From that statement, well it seems that your focus is on limitations rather than nurturing. I never claimed a child with special needs is fortunate, but rather pointed out my displeasure with those that consider a child with special needs to be misfortunate/unfortunate. From reading Dave's responses to you just goes to show this is pointless. Dave pretty much makes sense ;).

So it's OK to label others as "retarded" but you find displeasure in my taking check in reality when it comes to what is and isn't fortunate? I find that rather screwy.

I have dreams but there's a difference between being in a dream world and reality. The reality is that my son is unfortunate to be in his condition. It has and will potentially forever limit him from being independent in ways that "normal" people take for granted. Do I focus on limitations? Absolutely. How in the real world will he ever be able to overcome them if not? Do I focus on his abilities? Absolutely. How in the real world will he ever be able to use them to gain independence and overcome his limitations if not? I have nothing but hope for him and I spend every moment I can providing him with the strength, courage, and discipline he'll need to exist in the real world.

As for Dave - I have no idea what he's talking about and have asked him to explain. My guess is that he's glossed over my posts without actually comprehending them otherwise he wouldn't have drawn the conclusion regarding hypocrisy. It's disturbing that you take his off-the-wall remark as a condemnation of me without even completely understanding, too!

So has Avatar checked in?
I gave him my mobile phone number in case of emergency but I've not heard from him.

There were lights and explosions over the Sheffield skies last night, but nothing was on the local evening news, so I assume he's ok.

My mobile phone number was for SP to send me SMS messages whenever he wants, but Avatar wanted it too. You know how FORCEFUL he is when he wants something.
I didnt see the harm in letting him have it. Its not as if I'll ever see him a gain is it.

By the way -there was a news bulletin on tonight about there being a shortage of vibrating rubber ducks due to a sudden high demand today.
