That's a lie. "Generations" has many moments that harkon back to the classic Journey style.

If JSS is in, there is no reason for not to believe the will move even further away.

"Believe in Me" sounds suitably Journey-ish to my ears.
You're just saying that because you inexplicably percieve him as Ozzy Osbourne.

I don't believe for one moment that Neal, JSS, and Jonathan are going to sound MORE like Journey then Neal, Augeri, Jonathan.

Neal and Jonathan are still there. They wrote the brunt of the Augeri-era anyways. So what exactly is the problem here?

Generations is the lowest depths of Journey's talent. Lyrically abstract, musically lacking cohesiveness and vocally inept. Ross singing? Relative to Journey, there's no way to condone that song being on any album....unless you have a band "going through the motions." A lead singer change was the ONLY way to help us forget about that album. While the method was a bit controversial, in the end, I'll take it. It's time to rock....LIVE!!!!!

That's fine. Just telling St. John "good post" is ridiculous. Still waiting for his first.

Which songs?
Better yet, which lyrics?
Hey, you're the one bitching, you should know, right?

musically lacking cohesiveness

Agreed. Overall I like the diversity. It holds my attention. The cd does have its highs and lows.

and vocally inept. Ross singing?

"Gone Crazy" actually features one of the stronger rock choruses on the album.
Good tune.

So let me get this straight......
The band threw a song on the album soo unconventional that it gave you a brain aneurysm, yet you complain they are just "going through the motions" :?:
That does not compute.
So did they attempt something radically different and fall flat on their faces, or are they simply re-treading their musical past?
Make up your mind and get back to me.
