Interesting that he'd use that phrase since Ross had to cut bait to survive after Perry screwed the TBF tour...

REALLY??? Ooops! Sorry. Thought it was after the other. That would make sense though.

How can you blame Perry for Ross's money issues? Granted, Ross didn't make as much money as Steve, Neal, and Jon, but it was up to him to take care of his finances.

UM- WHERE did I do that? Although, Perry did fire him from ROR. If you read the thread, I had the timeline wrong. I thought the bait thing was the TBF deal and not the ROR session. However, under both instances, the ball was in Perry's hands. However, if Ross made bad money investments (or whatever) that'd be his deal.
Ross was out of a job for the ROR tour. Why? Perry.
The band didn't tour for TBF. Why? Perry.

Not totally blaming Perry, but there's a lot of it that lays on him. And the cut bait comment could be taken as incensitive to Ross, so that's why I brought it up.

Ross made loads of money between 1978 and 1985. Why? Perry.

What does Perry think of tapegate? Dude probably kicks himself daily for agreeing to let them made that 2001 DVD. If he would have said no, Augeri wouldn't have had anything to roll whilst he lipped!
The thing I can't get out of my head is Friga's last interview in the height of tape-gate saying their "swords were drawn in the name of rock n' roll" bullshit. If that was supposed to be their ONLY interview during the whole screwed up tape-gate mess, why did he come out with that lame, syrupy tripe and make them look worse? Don't they have ANY p.r. people anymore?
Yeah, I'd like to know what Perry thinks of tapegate, but we will never know. He's never said anything bad about any of them yet. Maybe it would be a great time to start? 8)

I'd agree with this. I think both points are valid.

Back to tapegate. It was a real shame IMO. I was really let down when I read about that on these forums.
I don't think Perry's opinions would be more positive than mine, but on the opposite side, let's not forget that everything that could ruin Journey's name will touch even his finance due to his rights on the back catalogue.

On a much lighter side, I wasn't really happy when I heard Journey's Captured vocals weren't all live, but most of them were redone in studio. Captured is my fav Journey record, and the record I introduced Perry to my friends....

Can't recall where I read it, but I'm pretty much sure I read it in 2 different places. Though I'd be glad to be proven wrong 8)

Let's not forget the tour ticket proceeds. He has been receiving ticket shares since the very beginning of Journey ver3.0.1 back in '98. After all, He's still an owner of the band name "JOURNEY".

Same with the Escape Houston show on DVD. They added harmonies after it was recorded.
