This WILL Work

Postby Rockindeano » Thu Sep 07, 2006 1:41 pm

As new Manager, this is one of my steps on the comeback trail.

Me: Ok, this marathon tour works out...Augeri see ya... get lost. Ok Jeff. ready to play in the Bigs?

Boys, this is the first step in rekindling your lost waning fire. I have setup a VH1 "Unplugged with Journey" and we will shoot and record in a few short 3 weeks from now. Get your shit ready. Get tight. get tighter. We need to impress..especially vocally. After what went down, people are apprehensive. Jeff lead them out there, and Friga and Ross, we need some good backup vox out of you two. Hell, Kevin, let's go to taped BU Vox to ensure a great show. This is going to DVD and CD, count on it.

In this taping, we are going to re-relaese a staple song, assuming there is NO Perry obstacle to jump over....The public will hear ON radio and see ON tv (VH1), and will BUY a CD or DVD or a package of the two. Got it?

Ok, get your asses outta here and go play and remember to get tight..tight as a ducks' ass for this show. i will see you you guys in NY in a few weeks.

Jeff

Neal, call me. Get the number and ring me dude. Let's either go somewhere or hang it up. Come on. I have more ideas that will put you fuckers back in the spotlight.

As the new official heap of shit I have to belabor the point: WHO IS GOING TO BUY THIS?

This idea is great BUT it will be playing to THE SAME OLD, TIRED, AND COMPLACENT AUDIENCE. The same audience that's helped JOURNEY get absolutely NOWHERE the last 8 years.

This is a great idea but I don't know that it's the first step to rekindling any fires. I happen to know a thing or two about fires.

Plugged or unplugged Neal is awesome. I like the idea however I don't see it as a step towards the promised land.

JOURNEY doesn't need to take a STEP. They need to take a Carl Lewis-like LEAP. Dean and others have been calling for JOURNEY to dump SA as if he's the anchor that's been keeping the ship from setting sail. It's their AUDIENCE that JOURNEY needs to dump. That's the leap that they need to take.
